Fox's Roger Ailes Caught Lying: Defends Glenn Beck

Appearing for the first time on ABC's "This Week," Ailes said that Beck's often over-the-top rhetoric was politically legitimate, even if it ruffled a few feathers.

I live in Utah. I am also a former LDS/Mormon follower (childhood, adolescence). I have no idea how in the hell Glenn Beck has not been cutoff/excommunicated from the church. I've never known a Mormon that is more vitriolic and obscene (Chris Buttars is second place).

To me it seems as though high church officials *may be* protecting him in some fashion. Some of the current high ups have some shady dealings in the past and local media is far too timid to look for details, let alone a cover up of sorts. Local media barely covered the Prop-8 story. What was covered was mostly due to the protests near church grounds. Only the Salt Lake Tribune tries for some honesty here, but they can't runoff their entire readership... (they are a middle of the road type newspaper, but here they're considered liberal and *sacrilege* to some...) But, while this community is very friendly and outgoing, there are a lot of skeletons in the closets and dirt that is swept under the rug.

Oh and Roger Ailes is a douchebag.
