From wiki: Dark Star is a 1974 sci-fi motion picture tongue-in-cheek comedy directed by John Carpenter and co-written with Dan O'Bannon, which explores the theme of cabin fever aboard a spacecraft on its 20-year mission to destroy unstable planets.

Did I mention that they can talk to their bombs? Pretty sweet.
