Islam is indefensible. Worldwide.

Where are all the proud sift atheists when this kind of thing is posted? How ridiculous and absurd does the fable of Muhammad sound compared to Christ's or against science?

You must know by now that all of the liberal leftists here love Islam and Atheism equally. We bounce back and forth between our adoration of Dawkins and Allah. Christ is our only nemesis. Because he is American. Bleeccch.

Did you even watch the piece? It is rather fascinating, if baffling.

This vid has propaganda. It is incumbent on any new Muslims to STOP THE VIOLENCE within their own religion which is being perpetrated on the world body. Stop hair trigger reactive violence or threats of violence against others opinions. As a Muslim, you must take responsibility for your own actions and stop blaming others. You must not allow Islam to become the world's biggest bully and perpetrator of violence.
It is not the "media" that has created an appropriate skeptical view of anyone involved in Islam when a very ugly percentage of those involved in Islam are out to violently kill innocent people with their bombs worldwide or forcibly institute an Islamic "Sharia" government which is by it's own structure is fascist and oppressive especially against women. I'm surprised Susan isn't wearing a burka.

Have you read QM's commentary before on this site? It has a certain consistency to it. A Tag Cloud of QM's collected comments would only include liberal, drive by, media, islamofascist, liberal, spineless, America, fail, liberal, terrorists.

And I do live in America (or Christlandia if you will) and I always let Kirk Cameron be my guide.

You should watch more vids in the Islamica collective. The state of Islam may be more nuanced than you believe.

On a serious note (sorry, I know you want the flame), this particular video is baffling to me because it seems like a number of organized religions could have fit the bill for Hashim and Susan. I was left thinking that Islam may not even the best match so it is a very unusual piece of 'propaganda' if it is one.

Very funny. I see your sense of humour now though that kind of joke could be taken a wee bit too seriously by serious and "touchy" Muslims who are living quite a few centuries behind the present times (in their mindset) and think that "the crusades" are still happening. I appreciate your return comment but let's be careful. Jokes like that could add fuel to the fire. I am new to this site and will check out the Islamica collective which I haven't yet.

I agree that the couple probably did not make the best choice considering the current world condition we find ourselves in. Heck!,.....Hashim might have chosen to become a Naturalist if he was watching the National Geographic Channel instead. Hope he and his wife remain non-violent.

Effigies of me would indeed be burned by the "anti-Mohammed cartoon" crowd. However, all the Muslims I have ever met are decent, thoughtful, and non-lethal. Unless evil needs to be confronted and then they fly off on the prayer rug and ass is kicked.

I still hold fast to my belief that you have to combine religion + politics to make an unstable compound. Do totalitarian manifestations of Islam exist in the world? Certainly. But that is not the whole picture and I would argue that radical Islam is not a particularly representative form of Muslim faith. It is similar in scope to evangelical Christianity (Dobson, Robertson, the late Falwell) as far as being representative of the whole faith.

The biggest bully and perpetrator of violence in the world is America. The reasons many Muslims think that the crusades are still happening is because of the neo-imperialist foreign policy which America has aggressively pursued in the Islamic world (highly influenced by AIPAC) - including over fifty years of unobjective support for Israeli aggression against the Palestinians. Couple this with the enduring legacy of the colonial era in the Islamic world and you will understand better the objection that many Muslims have to American interference in their domestic or foreign affairs.

When you say: "Hope he and his wife remain non-violent." you simply perpetuate a highly innacurate stereotype about the relationship between Islam and violence. There are 1.5 billion Muslims in the world. The percentage of that total involved in violence is no greater than the percentage of Christians, or people of other faiths - be they religious or secular - involved in violence. Yes there are extreme elements in the Islamic world - fascists, misogynists, intolerant bigots, etc. - but there are just as many in other countries and in other faiths.
