From Vimeo: Androideroids is a prototype multiplayer game that uses Android phones as adhoc game controllers. The phones have a general purpose LANPad application on them that connects to the host and receives a "surface" SWF. This SWF dictates the mobile interaction, including sending and receiving data from the host, displaying a first person view on the game, and playing sounds that are specific to the player.

Dude, if you can code a cross-platform Asteroids game where the desktop server acting as a kind of broadcast booth view feeds info down to mobile phones playing in first person, I'm not shocked that you know to pause the game when everyone quits.
