CaptWillardsays...Alan Keyes is always good for a laugh. He's not much good for anything else.
curiousitysays...I have to admit that I know very little about Alan Keyes except from this clip. However, I think it sad that this clip is labeled with a comedy tag. Our political system here in the US is broken. Have you ever notice that it doesn't matter who (from either side) is elected? The system stays the same. Rhetoric, catch phrases, and quips instead of answers. Promises not followed up with action. And mainly silence, ignorance, and/or dismissal from the people.

And you don't find the statement you just made funny because it's true?
If you like Keyes or not there is an air of comedic value about it.
9932says...To put the video into context, the orchestrator of the debate had repeatedly and blatantly refused to address questions to Ambassador Keyes. She was yet again not allowing him an opportunity to speak on an issue when he finally broke in with a protest.
His conclusion, "I’m in favor of reducing global warming because I think the most important emission we need to control is the hot air emission of politicians who pretend one thing and don’t deliver!" is humorous, to the point, and absolutely accurate. This man's got courage!

I suppose I can see some comedy as he completely blows off the moderator.
I don't see how my statement is funny because it is true. In fact, I think it is quite sad.
