Joe Rogan - "Alex Jones Is Right About A Lot Of Stuff"

Drachen_Jager says...

The CIA doesn't have to do much to make him look crazy. He has, at various points said, there are "Humanoids that are 80 percent gorilla, 80 percent pig," Michelle Obama is actually a man and she murdered Joan Rivers, and my personal favourite, in England, "They had tanks, people with gills, and there were little babies, and they were in there just gulping, clawing at the sides. You see a turtle at the zoo that wants out and you feel for it? They got humanoids crossed with fish and stuff. I mean... we are screwed people, you understand that?"

I mean... fish people? Nevermind the math on the gorilla/pig hybrids, but fish people? He's like the Weekly World News. I honestly feel sorry for anyone who believes that stuff. Poor people like @Sagemind and @bobknight33 a lack of proper education, perhaps parents who didn't keep enough books in the house... poor nutrition? I honestly don't know what deprivations a human mind has to go through to become that incapable of discriminating the obvious lies people like AJ tell.

One of the CIA's main tools is to discredit the whistle-blowers and make then look crazy. So far it's working for them with many people. Nothing discredits a conspiracy theorist more than making the public identify them as crazy.

Why not just weigh it while holding it and then deducting the person's weight? Pretty sure they have larger exact scales at a zoo vet office.

The Stone Age Tribe on a Banned Island You Can't Visit

ChaosEngine says...

"they were doing just fine with stones"

Were they? What was the average life expectancy? How about childbirth mortality rates? Hell, how's their dental health?

Obviously, a bit of iron isn't going to fix those problems, but it might make them more efficient hunters. Maybe their diet has improved because of this?

"Now there aren't any known pure stone age people left at all now"

Is that necessarily a bad thing? We had the stone age, we grew out of it.

I feel like it's easy for us to want to preserve their way of life, but no-one is giving them the option. If presented with a choice, most people wouldn't opt for a neolithic lifestyle. Even the so-called "paleo" adherents aren't really living that way.

I completely get where you are coming from, but part of me also feels like we are keeping humans in a zoo.

I honestly don't know what's the right answer.

When a rhino wants belly rubs, you give it belly rubs

Not sure about where you're going with the second possibility, but I would assume the first anyway. Smartest thing anyone has ever done, what with the TRUE cunts shooting them in the middle of FUCKING ZOOS now.

I'm hoping the horn has been trimmed to deter anyone killing the beautiful thing. Or one of those born with small horns due to cunt-assisted selective breeding.

U2 ZooTV Outside Broadcast opener

ulysses1904 says...

Same here, this album and tour had an enormous impact on me. I saw them in Boston and Providence at the beginning of this tour and it inspired me to start creating animations and editing videos. I tuned out after Zooropa too, the only songs I listen to since then are Mofo and Elevation.

There's a video on Youtube somewhere that I will have to sift if I can find it, it has a lot more material from this era, like the "Eau de Zoo" perfume commercial you see on the Times Square screen (where Bono says "God bless ya, Zoo products")

I love this era of U2. The end of the Brian Eno production days. To be honest, anything before The Unforgettable Fire and after Zooropa is outside my listening zone. Eno changed the band and that's no embellishment, you can find interviews all about how Brian Eno was uncertain about the collab but Bono was so on fire about him being the producer, he was willing to change the direction of the band simply to have him produce.

I don't like seeing that either, but if you watch to the end they are actually in part of a larger area.

I'm hyper sensitive to that kind of stuff ever since i went to Beijing zoo. There was a really large enclosure, but it was really old, crumbling and in disrepair, cracks and holes in the floor here and there, all concrete, with one black bear inside pacing up and down by the only perspex window that was about 8 feet in length.

All the Chinese animals were in a special bit of the zoo - pandas and rhinos and all that, state of the art stuff. The 'rest of the world' animals were in the other bit that was old and poorly maintained. An American black bear was worthless to them I suppose.

Now even when i see animals in big areas, all i can see is that poor fucking thing almost dancing left and right for hours by the window to the outside. Really depressed myself writing this.

I left immediately and complained, but no one gave a shit or even understood.

My son and I are just fine He's doing great in school. I home school him 3 days a week and 2 days a week he goes onsite with a small class. The school has many activities and groups. I've got memberships to the modern art museum, the children's museum and the zoo. It's been great for him. I can't imagine a better educational scenario, honestly. Excessive happiness abounds!

Heh, that's my local zoo (Chiba Zoological Park). They just put the lion exhibit in like two months ago. It's so new that when I just checked their web page just now I noticed they haven't updated the park map with the location of the lion exhibit yet, although there is an announcement about the lions on the front page.

When we went on the opening week, the lions didn't seem to give a fuck about anything despite there being lots of kids pressed up against the glass. I figured they were too tired from having been transferred from the zoos that donated them (they were both born and raised in captivity).
