Arizona secretary of state, Katie Hobbs sent a letter to the Arizona attorney general yesterday asking him to please investigate Donald Trump. And of course his close allies, Rudy Giuliani, and possibly even Sidney Powell for possible election interference in the state of Arizona.

Here's what happened in case you missed it last week, it was revealed that both the Trump white house and Rudy Giuliani on separate occasions and on multiple occasions made phone calls to officials in the state of Arizona following the November election, trying to get them to stop the counting, begging to be called back. In fact, it got so bad, the Arizona Republic detailed two separate attempts by Trump to reach Republican supervisor Clinton Hickman in the weeks after the election, as the president's allies sought to alter the election results in a state he narrowly lost to Democrat Joe Biden at the time, Hickman was chairman of the board of supervisors, the elected body that oversees elections in the state's most populous county, Maricopa. Hickman received the first call from the white house switchboard on December 31st while he was out celebrating the coming new year with his wife and friends, he let the call go to voicemail.

Second call came on the night of January 3rd after the Washington post published a recording of Trump's hour long phone call with Georgia secretary of state Hickman sought to avoid talking to the president because of ongoing litigation, any let the call go to voicemail and yes, for the record, the Arizona Republic does in fact have those voicemails where you can hear what they were trying to do. Then of course, Rudy Giuliani steps in, he starts emailing or I'm sorry, texting and calling the chairwoman of the Arizona Republican party, trying to get her to somehow interfere, stop the counting of the votes. Honestly, it is pretty much identical to what these idiots were doing over in Georgia, trying to get them to stop the vote, trying to get them to go find the votes as Trump said, and let's not forget... Trump is already under criminal investigation in Georgia. I know we all get distracted with New York, but there have been two grand juries empaneled in the state of Georgia regarding Donald Trump's potential criminal election interference in that state. That's a big deal that everybody seems to have forgotten about.

And now the same thing might happen in Arizona. There's a catch here. Arizona's attorney general, a Man by the name of Brenna Vich Is running for US Senate as a Republican. So he's got a lot, uh, got a lot at stake here. He can't PISS off Republicans by investigating Donald Trump.

Brenna Vich did, in fact, support Arizona's sweeping new voter suppression laws.

Edit: btw, multiple Republicans including but not limited to McConnell have gone public with their plan of hoping they can cause maximum chaos and division for the next 18 months because it will help them successfully block any and all legislation, then they can blame the gridlock on Democrats during the election. Total nationwide chaos with the corresponding rise in crime and damage to the economy....that's the Republican plan for victory. True patriots. 🤦‍♂️

Better donate to the Trump Twitter lawsuit quick before they manage to destroy your investment portfolio with the planned chaos...Trump can't sue social media without your cash donations because he's really a billionaire so he needs your cash...pay no attention to his standard microscopic fine print explaining that he may, at his discretion, use your donation for personal debts. Doesn't matter, DONATE NOW. He needs your money....to fight the invisible fight against those paper tigers and windmills. Please don't remember when he did the exact same thing begging for money to fight for the "election fraud" fraud in court but then pocketed the money and fired his (now disgraced and disbarred) lawyers without filing a legitimate lawsuit.

Subliminal Messages in 60's TV National Anthem

Thanks for that. I was just going to post the same skepticism. I don't doubt that US government has done all sorts of shady shit, but I need more proof than this, and this is too stupid and blunt for them (usually).

That aside... anyone else getting tons of voicemail or text messages about gay people moving into your neighborhood, or job offers for vaguely-Hispanic sounding names?

What I always find astounding is the number of people who unquestioningly accept that something posted on a youtube channel is real.

I'm not saying this is definitely fake. Fuck knows, the US government has engaged in some pretty shady shit over the years, but it's ALMOST definitely fake.

There is zero actual evidence here and tonnes of reasons to be INSANELY skeptical about this.

Why on earth would they use the words "ultra" and "naomi"? Those codenames weren't even known publicly.

I don't know if keeping a voicemail is a play, to me...although I think you were speaking artistically. Lost important people last year---all their voicemails live on in my phone.
Even if I don't play them, it's reassuring. Just not ready to let go finally yet.

Seems like a play on the people who keep voicemail and outgoing messages after people pass. Still cool.

Seconded.

If your "Thats racist!!!" comment requires the qualifier "because he's black", you're wrong. You're an asshole and you're just wrong.

TBH i didn't even notice the slip-up, because unlike "epithet", "epitaph" is not part of my vocabulary and i just immediately understood him.

but why in god's name would anyone let private locker room exchanges damper their faith in our nation's progression towards equality for all?
There are so many many hateful & bigoted actions committed every day, and you want to soapbox about some guy playing it loose with offensible language...

Just to take it a little bit too far, which of these men is letting skin color more strongly influence the judgements they're making?

Edit: full disclosure i have no idea who any of these people are, what rumors they are talking about, or what is a football

Edit2: just saw the voicemail message LOL HOLY SHIT it is 4chan worthy! racial slurs aside it is the most verbally abusive thing i've seen in a long time (but i still don't know them, so thats just how it feels to me). if i got a message half that severe, i would probably shit myself on the spot (but im not a big tough footballist)

Guy Stops on Highway to Rescue Injured Dog

I was driving home from breakfast with my wife and three kids in the car on Sunday morning last year. In front of us was a big, white Ford pick-up. Suddenly a beagle darted out into the road and that big truck clipped the dog's hindquarters with his back tire. I know he saw the dog because I say him apply his brakes, yet, in true asshole form, he just kept on driving. The dog darted off into the side of the road, but I could tell it was badly hurt. This wasn't a highway, but was a four lane major thoroughfare into a very large neighborhood with lots of traffic.
I slammed on the brakes, did a u-turn over the grass median and went back around to find that poor dog. I jumped out of the car and ran over to her. Her back legs were shattered and he pelvis was broken. She was in incredible pain. I approached her slowly as I was concerned she may be aggressive in fight or flight mode, but she began crawling over to me with her front legs whimpering and wagging her broken tail. I carefully picked her up and she began licking my face, as if she was thanking me for stopping. I gently gave her to my wife and we brought her home. My kids got her a snack and some water and I wrapped her in a blanket and she was trembling from shock and fear.
She had a collar, so I called her owner and got a voicemail. I called our vet, who happens to live about a mile from us, and explained what happened. He called a local vet emergency room and arranged for a staff to be available. About 45 minutes after we picked her up, her owners finally called us back. She was about 5 miles from home and were overjoyed that we had her. I explained that she was badly injured and that we were about to take he to the vet emergency room, but they insisted on seeing her first, so we waited for them. The owners got out of the car, I could see their kids and another beagle in the car. Those kids were visibly upset.
When the owners arrived, this poor dog tried to jump up and see them, but immediately fell to the ground due to her injuries. As this was happening, our vet had come over to the house, diagnosed that both legs and pelvis were broken and that emergency surgery was needed. He got in his car and actually led them to the emergency room. Remember, this is all on Sunday morning at about 9am.
The owner tried to give us a $200 cash reward. I scoffed and said that money needed to go to getting their poor dog taken care of and that she deserved a big treat after all she had been through. He kept insisting, but there is no way I was taking money from them. He finally realized that we didn't do this for money or notoriety, we did it because it was the right thing to do.
Three months later, the owner called us and asked if she could come by and thank us. She brought her dog over and she looked amazing. She has some scars and a little bit of a skewed walk, but otherwise had recovered well. When the dog got out of the car, I sat down in the grass. She walked right over to me, climbed in my lap, looked up and gave me one, big lick right on my chin. It brought tears to my eyes. After all she had been through, she remembered me and those 45 minutes we spent helping her.
I got an email from her owners a few months ago. She is pregnant. Her owners offered us the pick of the litter. The kids don't know it yet, but we are getting a new puppy from a sweet girl that they helped save.
That is a pretty solid moment in our family.

What a wonderful person you are to go to such lengths to help that poor injured dog! I'm so glad you shared this story with us. This had the best ending too! You will be adopting one of her puppies!!!
