Brand New Magic Sound Illusion
Not a dupe, but certainly a self-link, me thinks. Check out this: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/982244/unbelievable_magic_sound_illusion/

megaphone - Not Your Enemy
I've always wondered about the self link rule.
I don't find this music or video particularly entertaining, but if 10 other sifters do, what's the problem?
I can certainly understand keeping advertisers out and stupid amateurish youtube vids, but if a band wants to play us a song and subject itself to the scrutiny of the sift, what's the big deal?
Furthermore, what if say 'dystopianfuturetoday' wanted to upload the Clockwork Orange threesome scene or the Blue Velvet 'Wanna go for a ride' scene - because they are nowhere to be found online - and attempt to sift them? What would be the harm in that?
Also, the self-link policy is easy to defeat. All this guy had to do was have a friend submit the video, and it would not have been an issue.
Sorry Dag, I'm you've heard these arguments ad nuaseum.

Sorry, but I'm so ready for something else. My artsy middle-aged brain is climbing the walls.

I wonder what avatar choggie is using today?
In reply to this comment by kronosposeidon:
I'm relieved I'm not going crazy. Maybe you should go a little slower on all the changes. My poor middle-aged brain can't keep up with it. Some would say my drinking is to blame, but I don't think a quart of Black Velvet every night is too much.

Yes, I did change it to orange. I wanted it to go with my new avatar. My profile page is next!

Hey, did you just change the color of your user name from deep blue to orange, or did I pick a bad day to quit sniffing glue?

I liked Moe! Given that she wasn't a singer -- not by a longshot -- I've always been charmed by the few vocals she did.

Low blow vs the Velvet Underground!

Velvet Underground - Venus in Furs (Factory Gang Version)
My all time favorite VU song.
The Velvet Underground (sometimes abbreviated as The Velvets or VU) was an American based rock band first active from 1965 to 1973. Its best-known alumni are Lou Reed and John Cale.
Although never commercially successful during their time, The Velvet Underground remains an influential rock band; a famous remark, often attributed to Brian Eno, is that while only a few thousand people bought a Velvet Underground record upon their initial release, almost every single one of them was inspired to start a band.
The Velvet Underground was one of the first rock music groups to incorporate avant-garde influences. The group's often raw, sometimes difficult sound influenced many later punk, noise rock, and alternative music performers, and singer Lou Reed's lyrics brought new levels of social realism and sleaze to rock. Critics Scott Isler and Ira Robbins argue that "The Velvet Underground marked a turning point in rock history. After the release of The Velvet Underground and Nico, knowing the power of which it was capable, the music could never be as innocent, as unselfconscious as before."
Shiny, shiny, shiny boots of leather
Whiplash girlchild in the dark
Clubs and bells, your servant, dont forsake him
Strike, dear mistress, and cure his heart
Downy sins of streetlight fancies
Chase the costumes she shall wear
Ermine furs adorn the imperious
Severin, severin awaits you there
I am tired, I am weary
I could sleep for a thousand years
A thousand dreams that would awake me
Different colors made of tears
Kiss the boot of shiny, shiny leather
Shiny leather in the dark
Tongue of thongs, the belt that does await you
Strike, dear mistress, and cure his heart
Severin, severin, speak so slightly
Severin, down on your bended knee
Taste the whip, in love not given lightly
Taste the whip, now plead for me
I am tired, I am weary
I could sleep for a thousand years
A thousand dreams that would awake me
Different colors made of tears
Shiny, shiny, shiny boots of leather
Whiplash girlchild in the dark
Severin, your servant comes in bells, please dont forsake him
Strike, dear mistress, and cure his heart
