Conor McGregor vs The Mountain
I recall Royce Gracie taking on people more than twice his size...and winning. His style was very hands (and legs) on, up close, and personal. Granted, he was an insanely talented freak who, as far as I know, is still unequaled in grappling. I'm just saying that, with enough skill and technique, size is much less of a factor than you might think.
Agreed. Even in a "real" fight, although McGregor is a trained fighter and knows how to seriously injure someone and Björnsson (to the best of my knowledge) isn't, he's just too big.
He could probably lie down, let Connor put an arm bar on him, and still just break the arm bar and get up.
The only way to beat him would be at range with a spear or something. You'd be fine as long as you weren't stupid enough to get too close

Amazing Fog Waterfall
There is a similar phenomenon in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. Around dusk every day in the springtime, a 'tidal wave' of fog flowing eastward from the coast would hit the western foothills of the peninsula, and arc gracefully over the 280 freeway like a massive, slow-motion crash of water. From 20 miles away it looks like a tidal wave, capable of wiping out all of silicon valley, is just frozen in place at the edge of civilization. Up close, it's like surfing your car through the barrel of an enormous wave.
It's one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in my life, and it happens almost daily there.
Cop Smashes Cell Phone For Recording Him
More hyperbole from newtboy...because he sees one arrest, he assumes all cops act this way, all arrests end this way, etc.
In 2012 there were over 12,000,000 arrests in the US for misdemeanors and felonies. I've personally seen over 2500 arrests up close and personal and I've never seen a cell phone thrown to the ground.
So while this cop acted like an ass, it doesn't mean this is normal or usual or anything else. It's a single instance.

Raven videobombs NHL's Stadium Series webcam
That's the funny thing. We're both looking at the same thing but seeing different things. To me that's much more a wedge shape than a crow's short and straight.

But more importantly, the underside of the tail in a frame or two from an angle isn't as telltale as the up-close-and-personal HD view of the birds beak and head from multiple angles.
There's no question about how "ravenous" they are, and you're still not expressing any thoughts on those features.
You're avoiding all the clear evidence pointing to the obvious, indisputable truth, and hanging on with a death grip to the only slim, inconclusive evidence that you claim supports your unlikely theory. (Are you a 9/11 and moon landing conspiracy theorist?)
In the words of Elsa, let it go... Let it go! Can't hold it back any more. Turn away and slam the door already because here I am in the light of day. And you know what? The cold never bothered me anyway.
Here's a screenshot of his tail when he flies off - http://imgur.com/2lCjdR9
Compared to the two photos on the link above, it's not obviously the nice wedge tail of a raven.
But then, I'm not an expert, and the the ravens around here are different - the Australian Raven has a tail like the American Crow, although he's much bigger.
Sleepy Driver Causes Three-Vehicle Crash in Pennsylvania
Sleepy woman, well shit happens. Yeah, she should have been more careful, but bad judgement comes with tiredness, so hard to blame her entirely.
Guy in the follow car, WTF were you thinking? You saw trouble ahead and instead of giving an extra wide follow distance, you chose to film it up close and personal. Honestly, he's the biggest idiot here.
How the SR-71 Blackbird's Engines Work
Minor (admittedly pedantic) nit: the plane on display on the Intrepid is an A-12, not an SR-71 Blackbird. The SR-71 is slightly longer and heavier, and can carry a larger sensor payload while the A-12 can fly faster and higher, but they are otherwise fairly similar (the Blackbird is a refinement of the A-12).
Still the closest many of us are ever going to get to a real SR-71 though.
And I second ChaosEngine's recommendation: if you are an aviation buff, the Intrepid is definitely worth a visit. The shuttle is really impressive up close too; it's amazing they got something so big and truck-like off the ground.
I did get to see one in person on the USS Intrepid in New York.

Dog passes out from overwhelming joy.
I lived there for 19 years. As far as I know it has only improved. I don't mind being down-voted for having wanted to and being proud of moving as far as possible away from my "home" as I possibly could. It's all about adventure and challenging concepts; getting out of your comfort zones; it paid off nicely. I doubt I would have found one of the most confounding experiences of the Universe that a human can have if I had not begun challenging everything I was taught in such a closed-off, conservative place. I grew up close to Amish country! It actually took some willpower in order to start shedding and rebuilding a lot of ideas about the way thing's actually work as opposed to the ways the media tells one how it works.
Did PA get worse since the (19)80s or something?
