Sarah help me!
I have to admit, I originally thought this was a new sift. I scrolled down after watching it and saw my previous comment before seeing your new one at the end here and was a little taken aback by how cruel it reads. I can be fairly certain my intended tone was meant to be playfully mocking, but with four years to forget in between, it seems downright venomous now.
Somewhere a few years back, I read that when sending an e-mail or whatever, it is best to read it back to yourself imagining it was written by the biggest asshole you know. Then based on the assumption that it will be received the same way by the actual recipient, edit it so it doesn't piss you off anymore. That was pretty good advice.
Naturally that doesn't apply here, of course, because I am anonymous and being a giant asshole is my god given right.
I think this needs to go here for eveyone to watch

The Best Bouncer Fight Ever
I got lazy on the title, that is the video one. The best bar fight I ever saw was outside of a Korean bar in Harker Heights, Texas back in the 90's. I had exited the bar next to it with some friends when we saw the bouncers toss out two elderly Korean gentlemen in full suits. I would guess they were at least 50 or so.
Anyway, once they were outside, the bouncers left and these two guys proceeded to get into a full fledged Tae Kwon Do (or maybe Hap Ki Do, I don't think it was that though because it had a lot of power kicks) fight. I mean they were going at it, and I mean HARD. Much more contact than in any of the TKD matches I had been in at tournaments. After about a minute of not landing a solid hit, they stopped and mutually allowed one another to remove their suit jackets. Then back to the fray. They did get a few kicks in and got a bit bloody, but that is when the bouncers returned, apparently with their WIVES.
Hilarity ensued, because both wives basically glanced at one another and then waded into the fracas. They each started slapping and kicking on their husband, screaming at them. I don't speak Korean, but you could tell by the tone they were dressing them down hardcore. The fight stopped and two bloody, formerly distinguished looking guys looked like a couple of kids who had really torqued off their mom. I was dying off to the side from laughter. I swear if camera phones had existed back then it would have been an instance classic.
Best bouncer fight ever?
You have a low bar for what you consider bar fights. Around here, this is what happens every 10 minutes after 9pm until closing.
It happened before video phones became a thing, but the "Best bouncer fight" I ever watched was between two bouncers from competing clubs hanging out at a third club. Both were over 6'6", both had years of experience in their chosen martial arts, and each was built like a brick shithouse. Epic. Purely Epic.
White House revokes CNN reporters press pass
Hmm
CNN seems to have no trouble bending the law
and are even quite indignant about the folks that simply followed the law with the tone of that headline.
Are you starting to see the patterns yet?
Fox isn't the only News/Entertainment business that prefers to see things in a certain light which is what I have been trying to say all along.

That's a pretty biased way to minimize the fact that he violated clear state law that prohibits vote by email or fax, and refuses to remove the fraudulent votes from his tallies.
"Neither means of communication is normally allowed"....a far cry from the truth, "both means of voting are specifically prohibited by law", and quite short of how they characterize being a few minutes late filing provisional, military, and mail in ballots in other counties. That is illegal, anti American election tampering by frauds and criminals that should be jailed in Fox's opinion, but this blatant direct violation of election law is just the election official being helpful....and you still claim they're less biased.....
White House revokes CNN reporters press pass
You claimed he was portrayed unfairly because it was reported when he repeatedly dehumanized migrants, Arabs, and Muslims as pretext to treat them poorly, Obama didn't dehumanize and demonize them, nor did he just let them all in, so only Fox reports that he did....in opinion pieces dressed as news. You can try to hide from that claim by attempting to change the subject to Trump's poor performance but you won't be successful.
Obama did a better and more humane job on immigration, Trump did a worse, but undeniably more racist job.
Trump calls migrants rapists, murderers, and gang members. He gave up any pretext for middle eastern people and just calls them middle eastern with a derisive tone, because all middle eastern people and Muslims are terrorists we don't want here.
You claim reporting that is an unfair portrayal, painting him as a meanie, I say it's honest reporting of his unedited words and positions.
Never once said Trump was doing a better job handling the illegal caravans.
I'm talking about how he is portrayed as if he is the only meanie who won't let them in.
Your mind is making things up as usual about what I think or anyone thinks who disagrees with you on this.

TED Talk: Whitopia
You really like the sound of your own voice, don't you?
1) You cherry picked and then exaggerated my statements.
2) You toned it down a bit, while still doing both of the above.
3) Now you're just cherry picking.
There's no point debating you if you're just going to be disingenuous about it.
Does a group of white people who are purposely excluding racial minorities seem equally, more, or less prone to racially charged violence than a multi-ethnic group?
And before you bring that black group back into the discussion, remember, odds are (at least in the US) they don't have the range of options the whites do. Most of the time, a group of 50 or more black people forms with no other racial groups present because they're pushed into less desirable areas and excluded from the wealthier side of society. I agree that it's possible that group could be prone to violence, but I'd argue that their reasons would stem more from social inequality, rather than racism. You can't make that same argument for the white group.
My counter argument....that that's not what you said....and it's still inaccurate.
You said the blanket statement about any/every group of 50 whites being a violent racist gang is not entirely inaccurate. It is.
Now, had you said the blanket statement about every group of whites being a lynch mob was true some of the time, that would still be a wildly inaccurate overstatement, but better. There has been no point in time when every group of 50 white men was a lynch mob.
Had you said what you now say, it's not entirely inaccurate because it's true some of the time in certain specific areas with certain groupings, it would be contradicting the original blanket statement which is inaccurate, so it's still technically incorrect, just like saying the statement about groups of black people isn't entirely inaccurate....it is, because the unwritten but undeniable subject of the statement is ANY group of 50 black/white people, not one specific group in a few specific places at some times.
If you understand that, you understand why it's entirely inaccurate no matter how you wish to interpret the rest.
Is it true that there have been groups of 50 white men that were a lynch mob, yes. That doesn't resemble what you said.
Daily Show : Trump Weaponizes Victimhood to Defend Kavanaugh
It's not mocking.
No collusion.
Collusion is not a crime.
Lock her up.
He's not a citizen.
I won't benefit from my tax plan.
Urrruuooo. Rooowooo wooourrroooowoooo. (Trump mocking a handicapped reporter)
I'm a self made man who only got a tiny loan from my father that I paid back.
My school is the best.
My charities are all above board and comply with all state and federal laws.
I don't know and have never met Ms Daniels, and I have no knowledge of a payoff.
....but I'm not mocking him, no, just repeating his answers to questions. I would never mock such a respected and respectful person like Trump.
It's called facts.
*facepalm.....you just can't help but make yourself look more moronic daily, can you? Do you let your daughters speak to and about adults in that tone? No? That's because it's bad to mock people, right?
Thanks for once again proving me right.
That's not mocking
Trump was repeating her answers to the questions.
Its call facts.

How Simon and Garfunkel Created a Timeless Song
At the time this song was most popular, there was much discussion of the meaning of refrain - parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme. One interpretation was that it was a nonsense phrase substituting for "sober and grave, grows merry with time" - as applied to the loss of a lover (or a lovers') affection (s/he'll get over it...) but contrasted with the clearly mournful tone of the song suggesting that this lover didn't....
Will This Trick Your Ears?
I'm reminded of the Shepard tone.
New Rule: The Good Sex Economy
It's survivable for those who survive...plenty do not.
While the statement may be true at the national level, it's completely heartless and tone-deaf, worthy of a GOP mouthpiece.
POPTONE - GO
I think I played "Tones on Tail" on cassette till the tape broke - great album.
John Oliver - Family Separation
I agree.
In my experience as a teacher, if I find a lesson plan that works well I'm going to repeat it near-verbatim to multiple different classes of students, and I'm going to do it every year/term until it stops working. Same thing often goes for comedians, stage actors, musicians, etc.
Is it funny when you clip those together and show a near-robotic adherence to cadence, tone, etc.? Yeah, kinda. But it doesn't really show anything that is a valid criticism, which is what John Oliver's show is usually all about. Like, for example, criticizing citing the bible as justification for ridiculously draconian separation of families during immigration arrests... (hence the upvote)
The bit about Schumer's graduation speech is sort of a weird thing to poke fun at.

Critique of Star Wars: The Last Jedi
He felt they did a poor job with story telling, character development, and lacking consistency/continuity of characters and that universe.
I was curious so I started watching it and ended up watching the whole thing. I guess this is a new style for him? Very measured in tone. To be honest, I think I ended up watching the entire thing because it impressed me by how much time he must have put into this to get the level of detail he included. Even when something may not be quite in your wheelhouse of interests, I always appreciate seeing a skillful job accomplished.
TL;DW, but have an upvote. Is there a cliffnotes version?
Invisible London
Infrared is possibly race-blind? Looks to me under infrared light, Caucasian to East Indian to African skin-tones have very similar shade of ghostly white with a hint of green. That's pretty cool.
Yanny or Laurel
Nope. It switches for me on the same hardware. Also good headphones will go a lot lower than most speakers especially computer speakers. When you have a 5-6" midrange driver in a "subwoofer" attempting to produce sub 40hz tones it doesn't tend to work very well .
It all must have to do with your speaker set up, and the frequencies range your speakers use. I have computer speakers (also headphones) which generally cut off much/some of the mid and all of the low end frequencies. I'm guessing if i had good full range speakers and an eq i could hear both. I'd guess if we all listened from the same source, we would all hear the same thing. Although (in general) as you get older the frequency range you are able to hear diminishes quite a bit.
