It's perfectly reasonable, in my opinion, to end someones life if it has been proven that they have purposely killed someone else not in the act of self defense. In this case, the guy raped and murdered a teenage girl. It wasn't an accident and this is a guy who would be a danger to society just like the Tuscon shooter.
