I used to believe in spiritual stuff. I would read things like scientists associated with the Institute of Noetic Sciences doing a joint study with mainstream scientists around 2004 in which both teams separately used the exact same equipment and procedures, but came up with results that supported their separate paradigms.

The Institute of Noetic Sciences folks thus concluded that reality literally conforms to your paradigm or something, and that we have to re-examine hundreds of years of science.

Now that I have more intellectual experience, I believe more sober-minded scientists will tell you that there are innumerable ways to unknowingly botch your study if you care about the outcome, and that's one of the reasons science is so notoriously difficult to do right.

I don't think this should be in nature, geek, or howto, because if the video was meant to be taken seriously then it is a bunch of crap. His talk of "projecting" brain "energy" onto the universe is typical mystical new age woo nonsense. This is just a special case of the fallacious idea that wishing for something hard enough will make it so. On his website he explicitly claims human brains have "psychic and telekinetic powers". This is bunk, it fits better in the EIA channel.

They've proved that elephants are afraid of little mice with telekinetic powers enough to roll big balls of shit at them.

I suspect this is legit. I'm about 80% sure.

The pinwheel exercise demonstrated is a common technique for developing telekinetic ability, which most people uninvolved with the internet psi development community are unaware of. As evidenced by the previous posts.

If you were going to do a trick, you'd probably do something a little flashier.

My younger brother used to do this all the time. Unfortunately. this kind of psychic ability is all but useless for anything but demonstrating psychic ability, so he gave it up.
