Westworld: Teaser Trailer (HBO)
Wow, this has a lot more potential than the original movie. They can go Ex Machina on it, or Blade Runner depending on whether it's bots or symbiants. Maybe some Matrix or Inception like stuff, or Strange Days. Wow, can't wait to see what they do!

9/11/2001 Memories ... (History Talk Post)
As an Australian I just happened to be working in San Francisco at the time, so got up to go to work, and found my housemate watching the news with the first tower already on fire, then saw the second one hit and knew it wasn't just an accident.
Over the coming days while the airports were shut and tvs played news of it all while we were at work it was bizarre in the extreme for me to see the banners being rolled out over the highways by people being ultra patriotic and gung ho. Very strange for me as an Aussie, as it's not really how we handle such things. That and we didn't know whether the airports were going to open in time for us to return to Australia to prepare to come back to the US to work permanently (proper visas and what not).
Then there was the continued histeria about terrorist attacks via anthrax etc. Such that we did return to Australia, and then went back to America to start working, only to have an Anthrax scare in our very building (Photo of hazmat vehicle in the carpark) on the first day back.

This is the intro to Strange Days, underrated cyberpunk film. More info from Wikipedia:
"Strange Days is the title of a 1995 science fiction film directed by Kathryn Bigelow and produced and co-written by her ex-husband James Cameron with the assistance of Jay Cocks. It stars Ralph Fiennes, Angela Bassett, Juliette Lewis, Tom Sizemore, Michael Wincott, Vincent D'Onofrio and Louise LeCavalier. The film is notable for its dystopian view of the future, and the moral ambivalence of many of its characters; which added to the technological and social issues raised make it an example of the cyberpunk genre in film."

Dark City Movie Trailer
I referenced this movie recently in my discarded "Strange Days" post. But, to reiterate, much like "Strange Days" I feel this movie is one of the great overlooked sci-fi films of the past 20 years or so. For those who have not seen it, go over to YouTube and watch it. It is something like a deeper, darker, more cerebral, grown up version of the Matrix.
I was, after referencing the movie in that above post, going to post a clip of the opening seven minutes of the film in an attempt to get others to watch it, but never got around to it.
