Guy Stands Up For Rights Against Corporate Photo-Enforcement
haha - This is like 2 miles from where I live - Probably on Priest Dr.
The road is torn up like it has been over the past couple weeks and I've passed that van a few times recently.
I got nailed with a camera speeding ticket - like a week after I moved here. 50 in a 35 - it was a 6 lane road so it was easy to go fast and not notice. Had there been a cop there, I probably could have explained it to him that where I'm from, once you have three lanes in each direction, it's a highway, so I'm used to going fast, and he might have let me off. Cameras don't do that.
But they are not a violation of any rights. Was I pissed about the ticket? Fuck yes. That was $180. Did I deserve it? Yes. I should have been paying more attention to my speedometer.
Don't want a ticket? Don't break the fucking law.
Speeding ticket, that's nothing. Watch what happens next!
Hee hee, be careful pulling out.

^yeah it terrifies me, the faith I used to have as a pedestrian in the competence of drivers.
Yeah, I never really had much of that to begin with.

>> ^MarineGunrock:
No, that had to be intentional. "drive" is two gears away from "reverse" and he never took his foot off the gas. It would take a lot of power to put the car up like that. He had to have floored it. Hell, the blinker may have been accidental.
It's hard to believe someone would do something like this intentionally, though it does seem to look suspicious. Still, MG, have you never had one of those automatics with the crappy shifters that appears to be in drive but is still in neutral? I have. In plenty of automatic cars. And to think it's outside the realm of possibility that maybe, just maybe, if an automatic gear shift can appear to be in drive and still be in neutral, then maybe, just maybe, it can also be mistakenly placed in reverse instead of drive if the driver is incredibly agitated or nervous.
Keep an open mind, copper.

Great way to handle a speeding ticket... well done.

But to do this - mother trucker's outta his mind!
Bail-Out Fails! - Ron Paul Speaks About The Bail-Out Vote
>> ^rougy:
I like Ron Paul, but I'm just hearing some double-speak here.
It's like he's saying "we don't need any more cops, we just need law enforcement."
Its kind of like when all the cops are out enforcing speeding tickets and possession violations, when there's a high percentage of burglaries and violent crime.
All they want to do is take yo money!
Goddam despicable. Ostensibly, speeding tickets are issued for public safety. Confusing public safety with profit margins places law enforcement at the top of a slippery slope indeed. Now, in theory, the more speeders the better. It will be in this company's interest to hoodwink and entrap, not to serve and protect.

Very cool. Hope he doesn't get any speeding tickets!

It's Possible This Guy Was Smoking A Bit Of Marijuana...

>> And yet George Bush is still a free man.
What you thought everyone in America is treated the same under the law? Get real! That is just the obvious case... Just think if a rich guy gets a speeding ticket worth $200 do you think is going to affect him the same that someone working in a minimal wage job? Or the lawyers that corporations can afford you think you can undo them as easily as they can undo you? Welcome to the lie that is America.
Umm yeah, rich or poor big deal. The rich guy (who 9 times out of 10 earned his money) will continue to speed and get tickets and laugh them off until they revoke his license. The poor guy cant pay a 200 dollar ticket? yeah that sucks balls. Maybe he should have thought of that when he decided to speed. So yeah, to answer your question, everyone gets treated the same under the law (politicians aside)

Man detained: speeding because his dog is dieing (Pets Talk Post)
>> ^dystopianfuturetoday:
The proper reaction would be to escort the man to the hospital and let his wife take the dog in while the husband a receives speeding ticket.
Maybe karma will put his ambulance in a traffic jam when he accidentally shoots himself in the chest.
You would wish death on a man just because he let a dog die? Maybe you need to check your priorities.
Oldnavy: "t kills me that some claim to love their dog but in the same sentence talk about it as if it was an inanimate object."
No, they're not talking about it as an inanimate object. He talks about it as what it is: an animal. He realizes that a dog can never be more important than a human life.
Thinker: " the cop was a prick for not understanding the man's state of mind"
Actually, you're wrong. The cop plainly stated he understands what's going on in his mind. And did you miss the fact that he coupled that with NOT arresting him for evading police?
Crosswords: See above^^
Ryjkyj: You would seriously kill another human because you DOG died? Check your priorities.
