The Hollies - The Air That I Breathe

Oh you big sentimental pussycat, my15. I bet you have this song queued up and ready to play on your CD player whenever you think you're going to get a girl back to your place. Tell me I'm wrong.

Liz Phair did a version for the Saturday Morning Cartoons' Greatest Hits CD. It also had The Ramones doing "Spiderman," Juliana Hatfield doing "Josie and the Pussycats," and the Violent Femmes doing "Eep Opp Ork Ah-Ah."

Russ Meyer's, "Mudhoney" Trailer-July 1965

smibbo says...

Faster Pussycat... is a great flick but I find it far more exploitive than this one. This one is about a raving psychotic asshole getting his comeuppance and his wife finally getting free of him. Faster Pussycat... is about three evil women kicking as cuz they're evil.

I do understand the aversion to this sort of film though... I actually prefer Meyer's other great piece of crap: Faster Pussycat Kill! Kill! Where its the babes kicking ass for a change.

Christopher Walken sings and dances to "Delilah"

Sketch says...

I went to a Tom Jones show once (yes, it was great, shut up!), and just couldn't understand the concept of chicks dancing and swooning to this song about jealous rage and murder. Sexbomb and What's New Pussycat sure, throw those panties, I'm with you, but Delilah is way too dark to dance around so happily! Kind of surreal.

Excerpt from Wikipedia article about the video:

"The recording was largely inspired by the films Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! (1965) and Pulp Fiction (1994),[1] the latter in which led the girls to adopt fictional identities, an idea that Halliwell came up with.[1]"
