Leafs Let in Worst Goal of the Season (Possibly History)

AK-47 vs M-16

Payback says...

Each weapon is meant for the country that made it. Crude production abilities and poorly trained men vs a solid industrial quality level and well trained men. Russia vs US. Chev vs Ford. McDonald's vs Wolfgang Puck.

Wow Krupo makes it seem so extreme that I almost kinda don't ever have an interest to play at all. I think I played a more primitive version with paddles and a hollow plastic ball. Or was that the one with the puck and air holes?

Upside down hamster on a keyboard eating popcorn

leeweek says...

i did not know you could pacify a hamster with a simple piece of popcorn, it makes him totally inept, he and be pucked up, rolled on his head, and will not do anything until the popcorn is removed!

"You chose to disrespect this community by making your hatred for me public today."

My point exactly, your inability to derive meaning from words is my beef-You seem to desire the hatred you accuse me of, and I have no ill will towards the poster....THE posts are the target of my derision....how can I hate someone I have never met...I will tell you, because I know myself way better than you perceive me

I can't. Quite the contrary, I really don't think I am capable of hate, not even self-hate-It's freedom, really. Freedom from the predictable action/reaction responses most domesticated primates, in this twisted and beautiful paradigm, But now, to qualify all that with...admission of guilt to the action/reaction response: we all still suffer from it, I am no stranager to it, however, i have become adept at spotting it, calling what it is, and moving on to bigger and better things-
"prepared to deal with users like yourself."-divisive, misleading, inflammatory rhetoric, the same flavor of the crap I see, you post!

"We disposed of community members that personally attacked and threatened other members of the community, it was a no brainer."

asinine!!-this precludes discussion, reflection, and reasonable solutions with a view to self-actualization....works for the puck heads i guess-

again, your perception of a personal attack is misguided and delusional....cult of selfish

"I hope only positives come out of this intervention."

me too....that you will crawl out of your fantasy world, and broaden your horizons , with a view to actualization...ala Jung.....the world is bigger than pathetic political satire, and bandwagonizm.....

Tangible Table - Cool Interactive Table Top

H0Ju says...

True.

But this isn't a normal touch-screen like that on the iPhone. This requires a camera because it gathers the information from the orientation of the pucks, and not just the fact that the puck is on the display.

My local ATM has a touch-screen interface, but it wouldn't have any idea which direction my finger was pointing, or if I started rotating or moving it.

The major gist of the technology this table uses is at the end of the video where they use a simple diagram to explain it.

Hockey Player Mistakenly Scores on Own Net

Yup, Japan vs. Denmark. The game was played on Apr 27 2004 (IIHF 2004 World Championship, Group C) and here's the commentary..

"Early in the third, the Danes pressed to get the lead and finally got it at 3:09, when Bo Nordby Andersen moved in on goal, faked Fukufuji to take the puck behind the goal line and attempted to pass it to Morten Green, who was standing on top of the crease. Japanese defenseman Nobuhiro Sugawara got to the puck first and misplayed the puck horribly, shooting the puck straight into his own net.

After realizing what he had done, he threw himself straight to the ice, face down, and didn't get up for a full minute. He played sparingly after the goal, and looked nervously on as Japan got a power play with 32 seconds left in the game. Japan applied strong pressure on the Danish team and even had a puck hit the post. The puck finally crossed the line after Japanese players came storming the crease following a wraparound attempt, but it was too late.

The buzzer had already sounded."

This is the same as apple's first Multi Touch display, but you did not need some lousy puck, it tracked the movement of objects (or fingers) touching the surface. Apple now has a multi touch that does not need a camera, and is used on the new iPhone.
