Dancing Poodle Puppy

! Momma Deer Kicks Dogs Ass !

Sagemind says...

I must say, I grew up around wild animals, I know the drill. Last year, we had a mama bear and three cubs living in our backyard for a week living off the apple trees. I have to protect and pull back my dog twice. We have deer all the time, even a moose or two. I've also been present when a German Shepard picked up a poodle that was walking by a cafe and tried to shake it too death. I was there and I was first to jump on the Shepard. It wasn't even my dog. I know my instincts and what I am capable of. A dog is a family member, and I know I'd lay my life down for my kids before I ever considered the outcome - These protective instincts would definitely come into play here.

And no, I don't see Bambi when I look at these animals. I have taken wildlife training as well as the hunter core program. I have been face-to-face with many, many wild animals.

So, although your comment is valid, and I do understand where you are coming from, I can personaly make my comments here and feel validated by them. - Cheers!

Does the world need nuclear energy? - TED Debate

rougy says...

There is no establishment priority too banal for you to defend like a yapping poodle.

Solar panels are not more toxic than nuclear power, and their production would not cause ecologic disasters the likes of which we're seeing in the gulf. Yet another artless dodge on your part.

Every year we learn how to do more with less. The problem with solar energy now is that we really haven't spent that much time perfecting the science and production, but we are getting better.

And you're a lying sack of shit regarding nuclear going ten years without change. One nuclear plant creates thirty to forty tons of waste per year. That waste is deadly for tens of thousands of years. They have no where to put the stuff other than store it away and hope that nothing happens to it in the mean time. If something adverse does happen, then it's "Whoopsie! Not our problem any more!" and the taxpayers get stuck with the bill and the radioactivity.

Solar energy doesn't have to be "grid oriented." Every house has a refrigerator. Every house has a television, a computer, an HVAC unit, etc. Each house could have its own solar cells and supply its own energy.

You're as dense as QM. Your solution to any problem is no solution at all, just criticize anyone for offering an alternative.

You're still a fucking idiot.
The solar industry isn't going to spill millions of gallons of oil into the Gulf of Mexico.
The solar industry isn't going to leave radioactive waste piling up all over the place for generations to have to deal with in the future.
Why don't you go kick a Palestinian; you know it makes you feel better.

The nuclear industry simply cannot be trusted.
That's the bottom line.
They'll be just like the petroleum industry and constantly demand less regulation, and where they can't do that, they'll infiltrate the regulating agencies with their own people, often former employees, and water down the oversight from that angle.
It's not that nuclear power doesn't have a use or doesn't have a place.
But I think, for the ubiquitous public-power perspective, there are cleaner alternatives well worth exploring and developing.

But I think... I question if you thought this post through. Unless you were trolling, in which case well done and you caught me, again.

Solar panels have more toxic materials in them than batteries, and generally include a large quantity of actual batteries as part of any installation as well. If you replace our entire grid with solar your going to have an enormous load of toxic waste to dispose of on a more regular basis than any nuclear plant(they can go decades between fuel loads depending on how you build them). Or do you somehow expect a solar mega-corp to be more responsible for some reason?

From Dr. Theophrastus Seuss' timeless classic "Fox in Socks":

Now wait
a minute
Mr. Socks Fox!

When a fox is
in the bottle where
the tweetle beetles battle
with their paddles
in a puddle on a
noodle-eating poodle.
THIS is what they call...

...a tweetle beetle
noodle poodle bottle
paddled muddled duddled
fuddled wuddled
fox in socks, sir!

Fox in socks,
our game us done, sir.
Thank you for
a lot of fun, sir

Beagle Viciously Attacks Rottweiler

spawnflagger says...

one of my relatives had a rottweiler/pit-bull mix, and it was the friendliest dog in the world. I lot of a dogs temperament comes from their environment.

(although some dogs are just through-and-through mean, no matter what. for instance every poodle I've ever seen was a snippy s-o-b)

It just goes to prove the old adage, "poodles are inbred imbeciles, and jazz is the musical equivalent of inane rambling."

Malfunctioning Dog is actually a Jazz singer

sallyjune says...

Jeeeez, if that's not doctored in post-production, I'd say the dog was raised around spontaneous improvisation alla listening to a steady diet of hard bop! The damn pooch has developed an eidetic ear! Weirdest pet skill ever seen!! Call Letterman!! Better yet, breed her with another with similar "malfunctions" and start a new breed of poodle!

Call em Bud Powells! Or Thelonius'. Someone add this to the jazz channel!

Aw hell, doctored! Knew it was too good to be true!

Silly fun there, tweaker!

My poodle LOVES its little skirt!

I've actually only read excerpts from the God Delusion, but I have it lying around on e-book. The parts I've read have all been excellent. Dawkins is good at keeping his tone pretty calm and scientific even as he eviscerates the different God theories. If you like his writing, I also recommend reading some of Daniel Dennett's books, which are all super. I like Consciousness Explained and the Intentional Stance, but they are more about philosophy and cognitive theory.

ps. have you read the God Delusion? (Dawkins) I think you would rather enjoy it. I know I did

emotion in animals continued (Pets Talk Post)

yourhydra says...

*this is only if your comments are directed at my comments if not then ignore this* well u pretty much just said what i said so its nice to come to an agreement. Also i never claimed animals are people or that they feel on the same level as people do or that emotion equals reason.

i agree that emotional capacity differs from species to species -as I stated

ps. dressing up poodles is wrong

pps. PETA is even more wrong

emotion in animals continued (Pets Talk Post)

gwiz665 says...

Emotion does not equal reason. And while I can agree that animals do experience some emotions, that still doesn't make them people.

When some jackass dresses up her poodle and says something to the extent of "My fifi wuvs her little outfit, doesn't she?" She's anthropomorphizing the dog and attributing it emotions it simply doesn't have.

I can surely agree that many animals experience simple emotions. Emotions are simply extensions of responses to physical stimuli, which are controlled in part by the complexity of the organism, mostly the brain. Simpler brain = simpler emotions. Emotions are also responses to memories of physical stimuli; a dog remembers that rolling over gets it a treat, so it learns to do that to gain a treat.

Bacteria does not experience emotions, but they respond to physical stimuli too.

One could argue that our human emotions are simply very complex physical and chemical responses, which manifest themselves in our consciousness and/or subconsciousness as emotions, and are completely determined by causality. This is in the end plainly obvious, if you believe there is no such thing as a soul or "ethereal" aspect of the material world.
