lucky it was spinning... seemed to stop it coming right through. I've seen this happen with a small metal clamp from a passing plow truck, it didn't come all the way through, but caved in the windshield a bit and the interior/people get COVERED in tiny glass shards.

That plow driver needs to see prison time and be forced to pay for all damages personally, not the state. This wasn’t negligence, it was gross near deadly negligence.

This video somewhat glosses over how Dr. Strangelove-level nuts Holland was. His little stunt in Yakima was the least of his batshittery. He almost augured a '52 into his daughter's softball game when he stalled the fucking thing pulling a maneuver similar to the one that caused the Spokane crash. Young families will not be able to just go any buy a house in the suburbs. China, for the most part doesn't build suburbs. Suburbs waste space.

They need existing farmland to be protected to manage their food security. They don't want a famine, that's how you get a revolution. They don't want a revolution.

They want stability.

China doesn't worry about next quarter because they planned for that a decade ago. It's the next decades that they're planning for now---a timeframe these Conservative talking heads are incapable of understanding.

What about me? I do all those things and more. I didn't just change my own brakes, I swapped my own motor. I don't just plow my field, I sow, weed, and harvest that field. I can do far more work with my legs than my back. I could run his bikeplow for an hour easy, but a shovel, 15 minutes would be pushing it.
The plow doesn't lift the snow, which saves wasted effort. Even so, it might still take more total work, but at a lower steady rate instead of short jarring maximum efforts.
