According to Wikipedia Léon was released in 1994, and Natalie Portman was born in 1981. Therefore she was 13 at the time of the film's release, and probably 12 when it was being filmed. So this was filmed after the release of Léon. That doesn't detract from her talent, nor her angelic laugh.
