Never really cared for their music vids. But songs are awesome. Damn, I miss my roommate back in college, he was a huge fan of Flaming Lips and Apollo Sunshine.

and to take your own viewpoint in a different direction, what's to say that upper stars should have the ability to be "better critics" than everyone else? I mean, I have been here long enough to have earned silver, maybe even gold, but I keep putting up vids that I LIKE. Not stuff I think will get me my stars. I'm not lolcatting even though I understand that would get my star rising faster. Fine strategy for others but I'm not interested. Yeah half of my stuff ends up being a dupe but honestly I am flattered by that because it usually means I'm picking good stuff - just too late. It hasn't escaped my notice that some types of vids are harder to get sifted than others but that's fine. If a philosophical vid or obscure music vid or art vid actually does get sifted, I feel even more satisfied that it was a good pick. Sorry but people naturally vote up things that make them laugh or give them warm fuzzies. So, there's going to be a lot of lolcat sifts. Is that bad?
Keep the voting the way it is please. Maybe hand out more star powers or give them more often because I DO trust the upper stars to pick good things and bypass the system occasionally, but please, the symbolism of "one person, one vote" is too powerful.

Heck yes, it is. His new album is lame. I bought it anyway because he's still awesome in my book.

Well, it's really rather hard to guage the success of any of the indie bands in Japan, but the indie scene is very booming. These guys have done shows with the likes of Sparta Locals and such, so I don't think they're not successful; they're just not mainstream like AKG and such. But yeah. They're good stuff. You should also check out ART-SCHOOL (I queued some other music vids you might like, including one by them).

Guy is a real Yigga in real life. Put him next to an average American and you'll just start laughing non stop.

But he does have talent and makes entertaining music vids.

I have seen this OVA wayyy to many times also farhad. It's one of my favorite, I bought (yes actually spent money) on the OSTs, manga and am waiting for the DVD set to be released. But yes I still don't quite understand it all, I've reread the manga a couple times already.

What's funny is there is tae kwon do, possibly some judo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, capoeira and karate, but as far as I can tell, absolutely no kung fu.

What's screwed up is I know at least one of the women, possibly two or more, and I doubt they had any knowledge of this music vid being made. Creepy....

@JAMES... yes Obscure does function as a community, and community is great... but the Obscure collective does stick to its topic of interest... as I've already pointed out, there is no such cohesion within TAYTV. I do think that if the collectives are going to aid in organizing the Sift we collective owners need to make more of a conscious effort to uphold some sort of content cohesion within them... no more of this posting anything and everything to a collective just because its posse will get it published for you (I am referring directly, of course, to all the random commercials, music vids, etc within TAYTV that has nothing to do with activism, politics, or any of the other topics the collective professes to be about).

I suggest the week long ban for fedquip and a complete wipe of TAYTV content... let him start it over, following the rules this time, and work to actually bring us good content (and he does from time to time- I know, I find a lot of stuff for my Iraq-related playlists there) and encourage his members to do the same.
