Why GM Says Its Ultium Batteries Will Lead To EV Dominance
You answered your own question. I looked up Monro, seems like an internet Tesla fan to me.
I’ve read and watched more than 6 articles or investigative videos in the last 24 hours, friendo. You watched a single video from a guy who’s been shilling Tesla for years.
I say you didn’t watch because they went over how this formulation is not next gen, which won’t use cobalt, but is superior to currently AVAILABLE batteries and has the advantage of being produceable today in large quantities, clearing the bottleneck. It’s also modular, so newer formulations can be integrated instead of full replacement.
Once again @newtboy you speaking from a position if ignorance.
Then you write;;;;
"Then he says don’t listen to professionals or sales numbers, get your information from Tesla fan boys online exclusively."
Where did I say that? Pleas me .
Sandy Munro's team saying that the battery tech is obsolete.
Difference between you and me is that you see 1 article and are now an expert.
How much articles/ videos have you watched over the last year about the EV market? 6? WOW Check out the big brain on you.
When will your ego pop?
I watch the whole thing ..
Why GM Says Its Ultium Batteries Will Lead To EV Dominance
Lol…says the totally honest guy who still says “buy Tesla, it only plunged 20% so far this year” (when reality is it plunged 32% this year).
Says the guy who takes Elon’s word as gospel….no way he has incentive to exaggerate or lie about his success.
Says the guy who still thinks the semi truck is coming, and will revolutionize trucking (despite having 1/3 the cargo capacity and limited range).
The guy who said Tesla is expanding exponentially on the same day Elon announced a 10% reduction and that he’s burning through billions every week and can’t get anywhere near full production capacity, not even near profitability yet.
Says the guy who claims the Tesla truck will corner the market but doesn’t know it’s delayed indefinitely if not cancelled because it could never compete with Ford.
Says the guy who repeats every far right lie he hears.
Then he says don’t listen to professionals or sales numbers, get your information from Tesla fan boys online exclusively.
Then he says this new modular battery tech is old obsolete tech like a blackberry.
Tesla is far less likely to make it through the decade, they were the big fish in a puddle, now they’re a small fry in a little pond that just had the tide break through and now there are sharks in there with it.
I’m guessing you didn’t watch the whole thing.
Mary Barra GM CEO. Her job is to "say" they are the leader, even when they a are not and wont be. Don't believe her.
There are few YouTube channels to watch on EVs. Sandy Munro is 1 of them.
Ford and GM are the Blackberry of their day.
They may make it through the decade but will be insignificant in the market.
Do you think CNBC would positive spin GM because of all the advertising they do? Would they be 100% honest?

The Incredible Transforming Osprey
I've never been able to get behind the engineering concept of hinged or modular components in a structurally critical design. The Virgin Space-plane gives me the same kind of jitters, putting all that force on tiny, movable parts.
I'm not a mechanical engineer so I figure there are some laws in play here I'm ignorant of. Or is it really just ballsy design?

judge dredd-interrogation scene
No, no, I understand perfectly
For some reason the bad guys do often seem to rate higher in the style department, I've had friends who loved the outfits the Nazis had, without liking what was wearing them.
Super Star Destroyer or a Viscount class Star Defender? (Mon Cal cruisers were the equivalent of a regular Imperial Star Destroyer) The SSD looks cooler, but the Mon Cal ships gave the Imperials fits because their modular designs meant you were never totally sure what you were up against until the shit hit the fan. Shield generators were on top of the SSD's bridge, where were the shield generators on the Mon Cal ship? Could be any one of those fuckin bumps. So it's kind of a toss up. Otherwise, dragon, yes, and a fireaxe or Shelly Duvall? Well, since the fireaxe probably went up with the house I guess I'd have to go with Shelly on that one.
Well yeah, I mean, it's called freakin' Terminator Power Armour.
That's just inherently awesome.
Besides the bad guys are frequently more awesome.
Which would you rather have: a Super Star Destoryer or a boring Mon Calamari cruiser? A dragon or a horse? A fireaxe or Shelly Duvall?
Even in real life... yeah, the Nazis were pretty goddamn evil, but you can't deny they had style.
edit: just re-read that... just to be absolutely clear, I am not suggesting that the Nazis were in any way awesome, simply that they had cool stuff.
Fully customizable smart phone & 3D printed case
It's a cool idea, but yeah, just have to wait and see if it really takes hold.
I just find it funny that my PC is modular, and phones may become modular, but my laptop is still locked into a single configuration and not upgradable other than memory/hard drive.
I suspect the hardest part is getting manufacturers to let go of control. One thing that pissed me off about Android is that here we have a phone/mobile computing operating system that is upgradeable, but yet, whether or not you get those upgrades is pretty much determined by the manufacturer, because they lock you into their "flavor" of Android. That's like Dell telling you that you can't install certain patches on your computer, or upgrade to a new OS, What's that? you want to install Linux, nope sorry, we're going to try to prevent you from doing that.
..unless of course you root your phone to upgrade it yourself, but that voids your warranty.
