Demoted? I was MIA? (Sift Talk Post)

looris says...

Speaking of honesty, this wouldn't be such a problem for some users if people would take two damn seconds of their time to tell the user that their video is dead.

karaidl, i don't agree with you here.

why?

well, this is a SOFTWARE bug. When somebody calls a *dead, sift sends (or SHOULD send) an email to the poster. if he doesn't, it's either a bug in the sift or in the email provider.

having the *dead-er be requested of also PM-ing the poster would be a waste of time, and it's a stupid thing in the third millenium, when this kind of thing can be (and thus MUST be) automated.

It is also imperative, that we do not let a religio-fueled bunch of monkeys, deprive us all of a chance to continue the progress we have made in the last 200 years....the rate of discovery is exponential, as is the dilemma of back-assward, powerful elements of the human race, in the form of throwbacks created from the millenium-long stretch of dark ages in the Arabic world, following their brief explosion of knowledge. Now their father's sins have turned awarness against itself, and it is a race to come up with an end to delusion, before the diversion turns ugly.....
Precisely why the fueds over land must cease, find first the ones who use our ignorance against us, and destroy them, then keep the next couple of generations from being brainwashed, and the human race may have a chance......

Naked Britney Karaoke of Toxic

My internal copy-editor almost downvoted because the captioner kept confusing "your" and "you're", but I really like this song, so that won out. It's one of my favourite mainstream pop songs of the millenium (Richard Thompson already claimed "Oops! I Did It Again" for his compilation CD. The audio link is at the left of the story.) I have to give BritneyCorp credit for getting top songwriters and producers to work on her projects. And yeah, I miss old innocent-trashy Britney, too.

Speaking of covers, The Chapin Sisters do a great cover of Toxic (MySpace link).

'Kajra Re' (kohl-lined eyes) - Bollywood hit - Aishwarya Rai

They don´t sing for themselves. I was very dissapointed when i found out after starting indian films. But nevertheless, it´s great cinema when you give it a chance.

BTW: Big B. (Amitabh Bachchan) was voted "superstar of the millenium" by the BBC, second was Alec Guiness, third Marlon Brando. He also is the host of indian "who wants to be a millionaire"...

If you want to see more try "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham", imho THE bollywood movie, starring all the big names.

The Denial Machine - Global Warming debate (40:42)

....listen to the snotty tone of the announcer, the reliance on the temple of scientific method and process for an idyllic and concrete salvation, not unlike the whole of Bejeezuz and Alllagghh combined, the flipside camp full of its own whankeroids...what then, all that shit goes out the window when Maui dissappears the same day Japan does, and Yosemite celebrates the new millenium, with a display that makes the dinasaurs' trip off earth, look like a spring break beer bong contest.....

bleeeegehh!

Get rid of plastic and oil, by not buying it or driving, and, for crissakes, a convincing documentary, should have a baritone with a British accent....
