Pike County Sheriffs Beat And Mace Man In Restraint Chair

newtboy says...

Lol. See that peacock logo on the video?
Or are you saying unless every network shows it on their prime time national broadcast news show, it wasn't covered. I found reporting from ABC, NBC, CBS, VICE, even Fox (but not Faux news). I bet CNN had coverage too, but they aren't easy to search. Even if it didn't make the prime time broadcast, these networks all have late night national broadcasts that use local affiliate clips like this to fill the time.

If that's your position I guess that means there is no right wing/"conservative" news at all then, there is no nationally broadcast right wing channel, nor is there any right wing NEWS at all, only what they admit in court is ignorant biased baseless unbelievable hyperbolic uninformed opinion they call news but only morons could possibly believe it, and there are only basic cable networks.

Yes, punching someone in the head a dozen times with full force of a 250-300 lb man so hard it breaks his hand, with the victim restrained so they can't defend themselves is attempted murder. Pepper spraying a restrained man, letting him topple over to the concrete, and letting him gasp for breath for well over 10 minutes, tightly restrained on his back with no assistance, never checking on him while he's possibly aspirating or concussed from the fall, definitely struggling for air is attempted murder.

If the tables were turned and the cop was the victim, you would see at least 13 attempted murders, one for each punch and at least one for the mace to the face, and say every single one justifies killing the perpetrator. You are so transparent and hypocritical.

How do I know what?

Oh....you think? But let me guess, the guy had it coming for not submissively complying, and that justifies the cop going too far on four separate occasions....he should have immunity, civil and criminal, and so should the sheriff office.
Too bad so sad for the victim....right?

🤦‍♂️

You're awesome.

In other news, the mace to the face, that made me LOL and I'm sure @deathcow supports my right to laugh if I want to, but doesn't approve of said laughter.

I upvoted your right to express your opinion... not your opinion. Not that anyone is WAYYY OVER ANALYZING this video.

I laughed really hard at this video. Why? Because it took a stereotype we're all familiar with, inflated it to absolutely absurd levels and made a mockery of it. (Just like their other video...) If that's not comedy, I don't know what is.

And it also had a guy getting maced in the face. That's CERTAINLY comedy gold.

my brother (dignant pink) once ate a full habanero pepper down to the stem. in his moment of suffering, he cradled his tear-stained head in his (unknowingly) juice-soaked hands. he claims he felt like he got maced in the face and had to claw his way blindly into the bathroom to wash his eyes out. this was all taking place at school.

Wow that's fubared

That's a strawman because you're defeating a point that was only an anecdotal example. I feel like you did a good job with it, but my actual position has been that the police force, who is employed by the city, has acted in a way that is not representive of the city's values...ie...in the wrong. That position continues to be true. Outside of that...I suspect I'll agree with you.

It's pretty simple really. When someone grabs little girls by the neck...or when someone threaten to spray mace into the face of someone who can't get up...people tend to dislike that person even if they were within the 'rules'. I don't feel like it's rocket science. It made their local news for a reason.

It will be interesting to see what, if anything, happens to the guy. We probably won't ever get to know. Personally I doubt he'll be fired...but I wonder if local people will look at him differently. Perhaps people will inflate the events over time and eventually it becomes problematic for him..."hey you're that guy who hates children" or something. I know that's stretching, but at this point I'm just pondering out loud.

In retrospect...perhaps we've got him all wrong...maybe something happened to him that morning. Maybe his wife died, mother died, etc. Or it could be far simpler...maybe a bird crapped on him a few moments before the skaters came about. There's just so many possible reasons...we can never know.

If You Just Keep Tasering Him, He'll Listen Eventually, Right? [Language NSFW] (2:15 min)

garsh says...

theo47, why are you worried about how many shocks that man could take? He kept trying to get up again afterwards, didn't he? Would you have rather seen how many batons to the head he could take? Mace to the face? Or possibly bullets to the chest? And only one of those alternatives is as safe for the officer as a taser. There aren't all that many ways to subdue somebody who isn't cooperative.
