When he sings with his vocal track, he maxes out the mic so it distorts. Its clearly live. Plus its 1983...HE DOES IT LIVE!

This is great, Ya gotta love how cutting edge these guys were. A lot of kids are just now discovering them. That is interesting about the cartoons for this vid.
