Foo Fighter's Dave Grohl kicks out a fan for fighting

Why removed? It's at a live music concert!

Your the last person I would be taking channel suggestions from ant. This doesn't have anything to do with music, its a man standing in front of an audience kicking out a participant. NOTHING to do with Music or livemusic. Where is the music ? I hear nothing ? it starts with "fuck" and then a tirade about how to act at his gathering.

Lil Buck and Yo-Yo Ma Perform Together

Trancecoach says...

Often, the most inspiring and beautiful creations come about as the result of a juxtaposition between the classical and the modern, the old and the new. Such is the case in this video, which was filmed by director Spike Jonze, that captures Los Angeles street dancer Lil’ Buck as he performs an amazing interpretation of “The Swan” from Camille Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals with a live musical accompaniment by the award-winning cellist Yo-Yo Ma.

Peter Gabriel performs Sledgehammer live in Milan

kronosposeidon says...

In all of his live music videos that I've seen, it seems that Peter Gabriel always does a really great job of entertaining. Not just with the stage performance, but the actual music quality itself. Most live rock performances suck. Let's face facts - it's true. I don't like saying that, but it's still the truth all the same. So good on Monsieur Gabriel for being the exception.

Religion - From my point of view. (Religion Talk Post)

Sagemind says...

I went to a funeral for a 16 yr. old friend who was murdered a few days ago.
700 attended, The church was so full, the event was simulcast in another room within the church. They had live music, On screen video, PowerPoint presentations and so on. Something else they did that was cool was they displayed a phone number on the screen so all the youth could TEXT in their condolences and then the Text messages were streamed along the bottom of the projection screen LIVE as they came in. Great use of technology. An amazing address from the lead youth pastor and words from many of the youth & friends of the deceased.

So, it doesn't have to be boring...
You want boring, yes, go to a Catholic church - you want non-boring go to a Pentecostal church

>> ^Deano:

I think going to church should be more exciting. I attended a memorial mass yesterday for a friend who died last year. I may be an atheist but they really have to jazz things up.

The Sift needs a GUITAR channel (User Poll by guitarwolf)

choggie says...

I voted yes, but campion is righteous in his observations, eh? Tell ya what, fellow strummer....may I? Make a website dedicated just that. I tried an accordion channel, it did not work out so well.

By the by, bang for the buck-wise, I have decided that the guitar to use as the primary care giver for myself, to be the Gibson SG...Out of the box, perfection but a bit of tweaking in the hands of a smitty, n she'll give ya hours of unadulterated pleasure-I like the effects package of the Digitech EX-7 expression factory pedal, though the functionality of an everything-in-one pedal is a frikkin live-music nightmare....you simply can't beat the individual spread of the palatalized gearbox.

My second choice for guitar would be a resonator , one that fits yer particular style of pickin' and pressure...try a Johnson or a Dean. Oh and, the warm glow of the tube amp, only. The Marshall has gotten better and better with the solid-state/tube combos...try a Vintage Modern 2266C, for all yer ear-bludgeoning needs.

Alas, I have lost my gear this last year to pawn....another reason to forego nitrous oxide and cocaine, until you become liberated from the bonds of the devil, money....or I mean, forever.

Chop Suey in Rock Band 2 on Real Drums with the Omega GM-1

westy says...

Why is this not live music ? if sum one was playing the drums from sheet music with a tape recording of the other instruments they are doing exactly the same thing.

its a shame you cannot get a pro version of rock band or say piano hero that would basically teach you how to use the instrument properly.

If you wanted to be a mindless automaton and just play other peoples music then why not?
