P.I. and Ex-Cop schools cops regarding the law

newtboy says...

He explained right away what they already knew, they had no reasonable articulated suspicion of any specific crime required for detaining him, so no legal reason to hold him. They held him for over 1/2 hour after that, knowing they had no right to hold him at all.

Every officer involved should get a week off without pay during which they attend classes to learn their job.

I'm pretty certain he can win a lawsuit if he files one, and probably a six figure settlement to keep it out of court. These settlements need to start coming out of the police pension fund, not the general budget.

Your news for the day....

Devin Nunes is sour because he can no longer milk his lawsuits over his fake cow (and fake mother) slaughtering him on Twitter after a judge put them out to pasture by releasing all defendants unbranded to live their lives unmolested out on the free range.

Twitter was released previously, and he has no idea who the cow or his mother are to sue them....not that he has any case to begin with, parody is protected from libel and slander laws. It's udderly ridiculous.

Emails Reveal Trump Planned Coup with Loyalist Jeffrey Clark

newtboy says...

No answer Bob? Typical. It’s ok….we knew you didn’t have any.

You can’t say what’s a half truth or what’s spin, you just know it is because if this were true (hint, it is) it means you blindly follow someone who clearly tried to subvert democracy to turn America into a despotic monarchy and was stupid enough to use emails and texts to coordinate his coup, leaving a massive pile of evidence of his crimes. After all, he thought his violent mob would be successful at ending democracy in America and he would just erase all traces of his crimes along with anyone investigating him once he was king for life.

Oh no! Mr My Crackpipe’s cyber symposium with the best cyber guys around, after getting hacked and starting way late, has fallen apart with absolutely no evidence of mush brain’s claims, just his little factless movie, but did include Lindel running off stage crying when he learned that the $1.5 billion lawsuit against him and the other election fraud fraudsters will proceed (an order that came with a scathing rebuke from the judge).
Edit: Er Mer Gerd!…and he revoked his $5 million prize for anyone who could prove him wrong before it started, likely because his cyber security expert Josh Merritt had already said his “evidence “ was utter nonsense and proved nothing in interviews, and others he hired said he didn’t even have these “data packets” he claimed to have, only his video representation of what such packets MIGHT look like as raw data…which would be impossible to decrypt and wouldn’t have the evidence Lindel claimed if you could, even if a Chinese hack had occurred. ROTFLMFAHS!!!

More good news, cyberninjas has reportedly stolen the ballots and data they were reviewing (it was never an audit) and (illegally?) taken them out of state to Montana almost two weeks after missing their deadline to report to the AZ congress on July 28. Good thing they didn’t get their hands on all that other personal information they requested because what they have is not secured and ripe for identity theft already, and they wanted basically all the personal data the county had on every resident, including addresses, employment, family members (mother’s maiden name), social security numbers, medical records, bank accounts, assets, criminal history, …..everything the state had.

Even you can’t spin the refusal to provide their conclusions (now what, almost 5 months into their 3 week review) and fleeing the state with state property as some indication they found something, and you were so gullible that you bought their blatant lie about “suddenly appearing unregistered mail in votes that had no record of being sent out” that turned out to be early in person voting numbers, but they were too incompetent or dishonest to say so and instead pretended they found fraud….and continue to pretend they found fraud after being debunked, and are using that obvious bold faced lie in their efforts of trying to go door to door in large groups of Trumptards to force people to tell them who they voted for in a clear, blatant case of text book illegal voter intimidation.

D’oh!

How Police Protect And Serve

Notice this lawsuit is about a pervasive culture of terrorizing fellow officers and their families, not the constant abusive behavior towards the public.

Where are the good apples? Fired, harassed, and in hiding with their professional reputations sullied and families terrorized, that's where.

Glad you're finally coming around to understand the entire profession is corrupted to it's core and they're nothing but a violent criminal gang running amok anymore.

“This family”?
This isn’t one case, Bob. It’s department policy and has been for a long time.

Agreed, it SHOULD be a big payday for these families… unfortunately that’s at taxpayer, not the police’s pension fund’s, expense….but so far in the years of this practice if the victims got anything it doesn’t seem to have payed enough to get the local government to stop it, or enough to excuse blatant and rampant abusive harassment of law abiding citizens as standard policy, even a revenue generator.

How much is the daily harassment of your children, wife, co workers, family, friends, and business contacts at their work and in their homes late at night for years by dozens of aggressive armed men trespassing and peeping in windows and threatening arrest and continued harassment if they can’t come inside to “talk” at 3 am, all because they know you….without you ever being convicted of a crime….worth?….guaranteed none of the victims of this policy have been paid that much.

It is nice to know you at least say you don’t support DeSantis style policing…so I guess you don’t support his candidacy?

Also interesting you love to dismiss constant violent civil rights violations like this by just claiming the victims will get a huge settlement and that makes it ok (most don’t, police have immunity from all but the absolute worst illegal violations, they don’t even pay to repair the doors they destroy breaking in homes with no warrant or the pets they kill while trespassing and spying on citizens….not even for the innocent people they murder when breaking into their homes at 3 am, and when they are brought to account, they often fight cases for decades first, forcing the victims to sue them over and over and over and over....expensive lawsuits against city hall that most victims can't afford to start)….but when it’s a public health issue where they’re considering forcing you to not become a biological viral lab, stopping you from mutating new viruses to release in America, suddenly your rights to be dangerously idiotic and anti science are sacrosanct, no amount of money could make up for a little ouchie, fuck those other people you kill and disable.
Anti vaxers should not only be denied insurance, but also be forced to pay for treatment of their victims.

Arizona secretary of state, Katie Hobbs sent a letter to the Arizona attorney general yesterday asking him to please investigate Donald Trump. And of course his close allies, Rudy Giuliani, and possibly even Sidney Powell for possible election interference in the state of Arizona.

Here's what happened in case you missed it last week, it was revealed that both the Trump white house and Rudy Giuliani on separate occasions and on multiple occasions made phone calls to officials in the state of Arizona following the November election, trying to get them to stop the counting, begging to be called back. In fact, it got so bad, the Arizona Republic detailed two separate attempts by Trump to reach Republican supervisor Clinton Hickman in the weeks after the election, as the president's allies sought to alter the election results in a state he narrowly lost to Democrat Joe Biden at the time, Hickman was chairman of the board of supervisors, the elected body that oversees elections in the state's most populous county, Maricopa. Hickman received the first call from the white house switchboard on December 31st while he was out celebrating the coming new year with his wife and friends, he let the call go to voicemail.

Second call came on the night of January 3rd after the Washington post published a recording of Trump's hour long phone call with Georgia secretary of state Hickman sought to avoid talking to the president because of ongoing litigation, any let the call go to voicemail and yes, for the record, the Arizona Republic does in fact have those voicemails where you can hear what they were trying to do. Then of course, Rudy Giuliani steps in, he starts emailing or I'm sorry, texting and calling the chairwoman of the Arizona Republican party, trying to get her to somehow interfere, stop the counting of the votes. Honestly, it is pretty much identical to what these idiots were doing over in Georgia, trying to get them to stop the vote, trying to get them to go find the votes as Trump said, and let's not forget... Trump is already under criminal investigation in Georgia. I know we all get distracted with New York, but there have been two grand juries empaneled in the state of Georgia regarding Donald Trump's potential criminal election interference in that state. That's a big deal that everybody seems to have forgotten about.

And now the same thing might happen in Arizona. There's a catch here. Arizona's attorney general, a Man by the name of Brenna Vich Is running for US Senate as a Republican. So he's got a lot, uh, got a lot at stake here. He can't PISS off Republicans by investigating Donald Trump.

Brenna Vich did, in fact, support Arizona's sweeping new voter suppression laws.

Edit: btw, multiple Republicans including but not limited to McConnell have gone public with their plan of hoping they can cause maximum chaos and division for the next 18 months because it will help them successfully block any and all legislation, then they can blame the gridlock on Democrats during the election. Total nationwide chaos with the corresponding rise in crime and damage to the economy....that's the Republican plan for victory. True patriots. 🤦‍♂️

Better donate to the Trump Twitter lawsuit quick before they manage to destroy your investment portfolio with the planned chaos...Trump can't sue social media without your cash donations because he's really a billionaire so he needs your cash...pay no attention to his standard microscopic fine print explaining that he may, at his discretion, use your donation for personal debts. Doesn't matter, DONATE NOW. He needs your money....to fight the invisible fight against those paper tigers and windmills. Please don't remember when he did the exact same thing begging for money to fight for the "election fraud" fraud in court but then pocketed the money and fired his (now disgraced and disbarred) lawyers without filing a legitimate lawsuit.

Either I am correct or Trump lost due to fraud, not both. (Although in one sense he did....he lost in part due to his own frauds being so blatant that most Americans couldn't ignore them)

Since all those who claimed to have the only evidence of fraud have admitted they were lying, such stupid lies no reasonable person could believe them, it's pretty clear I am correct, there was no significant fraud, only a few verified cases of Trump voters voting twice.

Fox recanted, OANN recanted, even newsmax recanted, now the lawyers who filed the cases claiming fraud admit there never was fraud, it was silly baseless political hyperbole no reasonable person could possibly believe. The only ones still claiming fraud are named Trump or are crackheads with brain damage....or both.

Didn't you ever think it was odd to believe there was massive fraud in one race, but none at all in the rest, even though they were on the same ballot, counted the same way by the same machines and people?

The only court cases still being fought are the criminal cases against Trump, now over 30 of them if I recall correctly, and the multi billion dollar lawsuits against those who spread the election fraud lie you still believe after they admitted it's a lie. There are not any cases left about meaningful election fraud. None that could possibly overturn the results. Where did you get this claim? The same people who said there was massive fraud and now say those claims are so ridiculous no reasonable person could take them seriously? You're really going to let them make you a fool again even as they laugh at your stupidity for believing them in the first place?
Trump lost...bigly...even with all his attempts to disenfranchise millions of voters fraudulently, even with hundreds of thousands of mail in votes gone missing under Dejoy, gerrymandering, grossly unequal access to polls, voter purging of democratic registration lists, etc he lost by millions. It would be nice to see you accept that reality, but I have little hope. As those who inform you have said, you aren't a reasonable adult.

I knew about the "planned obsolescence" of bulbs and nylon stockings, but this video had more details.

I gotta call B.S. on the "everlasting LED bulb" comment he makes at the end. I've had many LED bulbs fail after 2 years when they are supposed to last at least 8. Most of them Feit brand. Sure I could request a warranty replacement, but I'd have to pay shipping both ways, which costs more than getting a new one.

Apple has had class-action battery lawsuits almost every year since the iPod introduction. I did take advantage when they had $30 battery replacement for iPhones, but guess what - that's gone back up to "overpriced" as of last year. At least they support iOS devices with 5 years of software updates. Google has always been worse, and some 3rd party (HTC for example) ship new Android phones (at least their cheaper non-flagship models) with outdated software, and never release a patch.
