NicoleBee gets her Gold 100, buzzes with excitement (Art Talk Post)

gwiz665 says...

Let's just consolidate here. This was my post:

Our resident artist, NicoleBee has assembled a hundred stars to align in her rituals - the Elder Gods would be pleased.

She has delighted many of us with her paintings and general good demeanor, and I, for one, welcome our new apian overlord and remind her that there is always use for a good sifter in her honey-factory.

A Canadian lass, with a good eye to NPH and eager head practicer. We're all richer for having her here, so I hope you will rummage though her PQ and sifted videos and find all sorts of geeky stuffs.

My own artistic skills are fairly limited, but I managed to whip together a little something I call MandleBee.

Hell, it's almost 6 am. (Blog Entry by UsesProzac)

[Part deux]
What happened next on that fateful day is shrouded in much mystery
Since the shopping center was demolished and abolished was all history
I'll tell you the legend and I'll tell it with glee
for it is a legend of one interesting and curious Bee

They say that the girl fell down to her knees and wept
Her tears rolled because of the promise that could not be kept
She'd always gone to extremes, this Pinky-faced lass
This last straw had brought her to a critical mass

Moderation was an Alien Concept to her
and her blood boiled and caused a stir
in her mind she lashed out right and left
like the pale rider was this Lady of Death

Whether this was real or imaginary, few can say
What is known is the legend that haunts us this day
The one she wept for came down to the store
And he shouted to her and unison with the bird, "NEVERMORE"

With that word the girl slumped down
her anger was taken, reduced to a frown
"Look at me, love, look at me now"
and the girl cleared her tears and remembered her vow

"I did this all for you and your joy"
"I know you did, I am a lucky boy"
"How can we stop this from happening again?"
"I know just the thing for this to end"

When the two left the center arm in arm
There had only been minimal harm
and the girl would never be the same
She was now happy, and UsesProzac was her name.

40 Reasons for Gun Control (Politics Talk Post)

CaptainPlanet420 says...

I come back from vacation, and this is what I find? Good try there Orly?, but it seems like posting commonsense ideas have no business here.

What a disgrace of a first reply on this thread. Not only do you have no factual evidence to base your broad and profane accusations, but you live in a country that has completely forsaken the importance of guns and has suffered for it. Criminals will always find ways to procure them. Owning a weapon isn't paranoia as you so ignorantly claim. If it's paranoid to defend yourself, then when I punch you in the face, you should thank me for it and if you fight back, I'll have you thrown in jail.

Now be a good laddie/lass and go find me evidence so we can have an educated discussion. Good luck.

Fischer-Dieskau sings Schubert -- "Der Erlkönig"

'Time to put off the world and go somewhere
And find my health again in the sea air,'
Beggar to beggar cried, being frenzy-struck,
'And make my soul before my pate is bare.-

'And get a comfortable wife and house
To rid me of the devil in my shoes,'
Beggar to beggar cried, being frenzy-struck,
'And the worse devil that is between my thighs.'

And though I'd marry with a comely lass,
She need not be too comely - let it pass,'
Beggar to beggar cried, being frenzy-struck,
'But there's a devil in a looking-glass.'

'Nor should she be too rich, because the rich
Are driven by wealth as beggars by the itch,'
Beggar to beggar cried, being frenzy-struck,
'And cannot have a humorous happy speech.'

'And there I'll grow respected at my ease,
And hear amid the garden's nightly peace.'
*Beggar to beggar cried, being frenzy-struck,
'The wind-blown clamour of the barnacle-geese.' (Yeats)

In 2004 De Beers pleaded guilty and paid a $10 million fine to the United States Department of Justice to settle a 1994 charge that De Beers had conspired with General Electric to fix the price of industrial diamonds.

A hefty toast to alco, one of my favorites. Incredibly good taste and humor; a lass after my own heart. Cheers mate!

is this the child of Richard D. James?

You're right. The stuff that Lasse Gjertsen guy does on the drums is really cool and original but this sounds EXACTLY like a good Aphex Twin song.
