Joe Biden Slams McCains Delusional Economic Statements

raverman says...

The poor state of the American economy is a given.
- Massive banks failing,
- Huge numbers of homes foreclosing - NATIONWIDE.
- The Stock exchange in free fall.
- So many trillions of overseas debt with countries like China, they basically own America.
- Not to mention the massive new cost from Hurricane Ike and the raising price of oil again due to the closed pipelines.

BillOReilly - to distract the conversation with a completely irrelevant comment about Michigan being run by a democrat? To try to divert the topic as my state vs. your state?

Shame on you. Thats an insult to the people who are truely suffering across america.
Rebulicans go on and on about patriotism and loving their country...
But don't give a damn about their countrymen, just their own pockets and politics.

Singing Protesters Gassed in Tacoma

Man, this should be in-thread, you are most certainly not a troll! I'd be happy if you copy-pasted this whole thing back into the discussion. I totally agree that this is what America gets when they vote a Neo-con into office, and allow the administration to run rough-shod over their rights. I don't think we are even arguing? Like I said, I think those protesters lacked heart.

And didn't the itnertoobs come originally from the academic / scientific sphere? At least that's what I remember from being there. It was co-opted and propagated by the DOD to use toward their own nefarious ends.

From my standpoint (and after reading all the info neatly referenced in the wiki article I posted) neither the protesters nor the police had any more right than the other. A majority of the protesters were breaking laws and orders set up for their safety as well as the safety of the police and other personnel. This didn't happen over one day. It was a few years of protest at this particular site and the worst of it culminated in the video that was posted.

I argue, like in the previous reply, it is the fault of the people electing who we do into office that makes this a tragedy. We believe that they are doing everything for "the good of America" or to "create a change" in America. When in fact, every law they create or every bill they design not only helps the lobbyist and stockholder but it also helps to further the separation, and segregation, of Americans by race, creed, color, sexual orientation and income. This isn't limited to one party.

BTW - without the military industrial complex you and I would not be using this medium to interact. The entire world has benefited greatly due to technological breakthrough because of war and conflict. Unfortunate? Yes and no.

In reply to this comment by schmawy:
Very true, and ages on the Sift vary greatly. You probably know that the Law affords "individual rights" to corporations as well. I take umbrage with that, as do many of the protesters. Military industrial complex makes Ike cry.

What is the Law? It's set up for an individual's right and protection.

And by calling us 'pups' you're meaning to imply that WE are naive?

Not so much "naive" as unwilling to believe that this isn't the fault of one man. If we are all over 18 on this thread, we all had a hand in electing the people making and breaking law in Washington, D. C.

Will do. I'll copy from your reply on down.

And yes, it did start out in academia but did not have enough funding which is why DoD took over at one point. At that time, though, it was joint effort by the scientific and military community. Not so much anymore now that the DoD, much like any giant corporation, will take a person's creative license and make it property of that business.

How to Bypass Electronic Keypad Locks

Bush booed at Nationals opener

choggie says...

furrycloud-you would have to be at least 60-
53-63 it was Ike then Kennedy-After the assassination, elections have been engineered, and your vote has meant fuck-all
The delusional above who thinks Clinton was pretty good???....Yet another case of selective memory disorder, lack of overall knowledge of historical facts, and some idyllic,"My perfect world" bullshit thrown in-Clinton is a tool, one of the most ill-equipped to lead a nation-his wife is smarter and scarier-

Some folks only see something or someone as being good or bad if it fits their ideal world scenario, regardless of how they deal with the paradigm.....
jwray, all for opening the floodgates on freedoms here, and the bills cited do not have a lot to do with anything but matters of money and agenda-the shit Clinton allowed to be done, and that he abjectly neglected are his butt-fuck the U.S., legacy, not a few vetos that effect agenda-motivated minorities.

FDR engineered many a fistfuck for the future that guided the country to the sad state it is in today...33'-38'(New Deal) was a time of setting the place up for to fall ripe from the tree, the fruits of stolen (depression) American dreams-

Big war hawk.....conflict is continually in the process of being engineered, NO president within the current paradigm which involves the building of wealth capitol and commerce within a contrived and retrograde system is innocent.....

" I personally think Clinton was OK. At least his hawkish foreign policy worked and didn't get us into any long-term quagmires."-

Rumor: Al Gore to Endorse Obama (Election Talk Post)

choggie says...

No mystery, that a tool would be used with another to achieve an end result-Gore is a mouthpiece like Obama, two peas as it were.

Gore is a hollowman, just like Obama-No agenda or vision of his own, he's a Beltway lamprey, Obama is the Uncle Tom Boy Friday of all the special interest that got him where he is today....poised to be inserted into the mainframe of US Government, so the script of the Elite can be eloquently delivered, to the braying masses.

People, people. Can you see the forest while standing on old growth?? This shit has been systematic, ever since Ike's farewell address-To say anything about these cretins than the inconvenient truth, is verbal masturbation on a grand scale.
Can we use Obama as a decoy to hunt for Reptiles???

I guarantee this is the worst video you'll see all week.
