That's what I figured. Thanks for checking. I'll write a Sift Talk post about this problem.

The Verve - Love Is Noise
Haven't tried ifilm though.

You're welcome and thanks.
Hey, as long as I'm talking to you, are you able to embed videos from MySpace or iFilm? Both if those sites recently changed their players, so I think anyone below gold is unable to embed them because Siftbot "thinks" they're not approved. Let me know, if you could.

Easter Egg - A short film
This is my favourite clip to come out of ifilm, I hope y'all like it.
Most of the elements that make up the plot are extreme projections of current trends. Increasing sterility and government mandated breeding are a couple issues that come to mind. Easter Egg also broaches the issue of how we interact (poorly) through terminals. The personae we use on the web don't necessarily reflect the way we would speak if we met face to face, although I'd like to think we do better on the whole than Newton and Melody.

Weird works for me. iFilm may have some issues with their content. Lets keep an eye on it for a little while. Definitely no hackage on our side.
First Male Engineer (30 Secs)
That's not what I see. First I saw Richard Pryor, and now I see wrestling. The official title (according to ifilm) when I first sent it to sift was "Richard Pryer high during interview" and now it is "Kong K.O.'s!"
From what you've said, I would suspect it was just me, but someone else saw some other code there too. Whatever is happening, it's not normal. The embedded video is changing for at least some viewers. This is weird, hence the sift talk.
Thumbnail image research thread (Sift Talk Post)
Hi. Not sure if I'm missing something. Lucky760 indicates that the following thumbnail techniques have all been covered. Where? On this page, or am I missing a link to another page? I can see some solutions, but not all of these:
YouTube
Google
MetaCafe
iFilm
LiveLeak
Break
Comedy Central
MySpace
DailyMotion
VideoJug
Revver
Yahoo!
Vimeo
Are all of the solutions to these on this page??
thanks
David.

Damn, twiddles. Nice work. Thanks a lot.
The Break one we had covered but the other two are excellent additions. Way to
digsift into those things. I'd applaud your contributions more if I could. For the record, all the hosts for which we are currently able to find thumbnails are:
And soon, thanks to twiddles:
So, outstanding at the moment:

Your video here is dead:
http://www.videosift.com/video/Star-Jones-gets-smacked-in-the-face-by-a-football
It can be replaced with this one:
http://www.ifilm.com/video/2714757
Monoprix: Vegetables
I replaced the code. It worked for me when I pressed play.
Something was odd on the iFilm site as well.
Transformers, more than meets the eye
I disagree with most posts above. When I think transformers I think the crap ass saturday morning animation. This actually looks to be wild thrill ride. A popcorn munching, suspension of belief, thin plot and characters, but insane CG summer blockbuster. It is what it is.
for those of you who HATE MICHAEL FUCKING BAY, you've got to check out this short film called aptly enough. KILLING MICHAEL BAY, it's from a director (John McGrath) I edited a film for.
The movie is fuckin FUNNY !

TayTV Situation (Sift Talk Post)
I thought that was the whole point of Revver and ifilm to make money for the content uploader? A much easier way to profit off the sift.

On the banning of my account (stephw8). I really do not know what to say. I couldn't find any reason in the FAQ. I did find a reference to me being a self-linker. I have nothing to do with the two guys who made the films. I was forwarded the first one by a co-worker shortly after getting an account here, I posted the link thinking other people might like to see it. To my surprise it did very well. I really never saw anything else to post, most everything I see is rather old or not worth the effort of posting. The last one I posted after getting an email from a different co-worker telling me a new one was up. I watched it, remembered how much everyone liked the first one, and posted it. I guess it looks suspicious, but I could really not care less. I am not asking that you reinstate my account, just the opposite. I demand that you don't reinstate it. If a few pouty whiners can't handle that a video can get popular based on it just being good, without gaming the system then I leave you to your crappy collection of 80's commercials, last night's reruns and overplayed and out-dated youtube/ifilm crapfest.
