Maynard of TOOL talks about the "Fan Incident"
Remember that video of James Hetfield catching on fire due to a misfiring pyrotechnic...?
It's not just about the safety of the band, or the price of the gear, it's also about the safety of the fan. Some bands are cool with it, that's their business, but as the other poster noted, it's their place of work and quite a few of us wouldn't allow randoms to just wander in to our place of work unchallenged.
That being said, the security should have been on top of that before it happened. While it makes a cool anecdote and video clip, the star of the show shouldn't have to arrest a loose fan on the stage...
Oh poor babies. How dare a fan go up on stage. That's never happened before. His attitude about the whole thing and Rogan's stink. They are tools.

Hetfield is a great guitarist. He doesn't play solos or super technical parts, but he's great at what he does and he plays with real feel.
Also he has a cyborg right arm.... the man can downpick like nobodies business

Metallica's "One" in Medieval Times
I didn't like the singer. His emotions didn't carry any weight unlike james hetfield.
The music was nicely done.
I like the singer, but he was best in the intro and then as the song was ramping up to the distorted guitar part, which is then cut (since the instruments aren't really built for it)... I'd like to hear him keep going for the rest of the song and really wail!
Foo Fighters with Zac Brown: "War Pigs"
Yuss!!
\m/
@Asmo, the Faith No More version is epic (pun very much intended)
When I was a teenager, I was hanging out in the guitar shop my mate worked in. We were playing War Pigs (Sabbath version) on the stereo and this dude comes in and says "wow, Mike Pattons voice sounds really weird"
just found this: Faith No More with Ozzy and James Hetfield!
orsum squared
Quote hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)
Yes, it was just old enough to be retro-cool. Kind of like kids today listening to Nirvana. @deathcow and I were also listening to a lot of Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Dio, etc etc. Picture these guys: http://videosift.com/video/Heavy-Metal-Parking-Lot
Metallica - The Unforgiven II
OK, is it just me but in a couple of shots doesn't Hetfield look like Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal?
Good Tune, but the vid annoys me, The exact problem I have with so many other videos.
The Call Of Ktulu ☻ Warsaw Guitar Orchestra
James Hetfield? Cause that would have been awesome if he came out towards the end and played with them.
Just wait till the great old one comes, HE'LL sort-out all y'alls douchebaggery ~^(;,;)^~
The Call Of Ktulu ☻ Warsaw Guitar Orchestra
Thought the solo was kinna cheesed as well. Also would add that there are more than a few of the ensemble lacking that spark of soul to render the passion and depth of the piece, there could be a future Hetfield in the mix and if you check it, it's probably the one or two who have their feet planted firmly in some real blues.
What kind of eldritch abomination was that? The best goddamn kind...
*quality
although I was kinda hoping for a classic reinterpretation of the solo
The Big 4 On Stage Together - Live - Playing Am I Evil
I lost all respect for that Hetfield guy when I watched Metallica's Some Kind Of Monster and listened to him whine like a bitch about the other guys practicing "his" song when he wasn't there. What a douchebag.
How could creationism not be dishonest?
James Hetfield sure has let himself go.

What Metallica sounds like without Pro-Tools
Oh this is hilarious. Fake or no, they deserve it after the dismal VH1 special they did a couple a years ago.
Hetfield turned into a whiny boy that couldn't work more than 4 hours a day so his feelings wouldn't get hurt. I can't believe how the band put up w/ it.
