Enemies During Iran-Iraq War Become Blood Brothers For Life

Sportsmanship beyond measure...

Maybe some people are more decent than we expect...

So, This is really hard to vote for.

This video is heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.

It's a social experiment, but it's more than that. We know people are basically decent people. It was hard to watch, emotionally, because you feel for the guy, no one should have to receive this type of message, and no one should have to translate it to him.

But in fact, no one did send it, and he already knows what it says which makes me feel manipulated. Of course this made me emotionally upset for the situation. These types of videos are becoming more popular, where a guided scenario is set up, to induce the outcome that is wanted. Essentially this was an empathy test.

This setting was essentially sterile and set face to face with no outside obstacles - the outcomes were practically predetermined.

What if the readers were a group of strangers? What if it was outside in an open environment? What would the creators have done if the reaction was, in fact, not a positive outcome?

So many questions on how this was created and presented....
Thoughts?

P.S. Not paying any attention to any drama about the police and blah blah blah.

Just look at the beautiful look of joy in her innocent eyes. It's very heartwarming and tear-jerking.

Not Your Typical Russian Dash Cam Video

The viewpoint of behind the driver led me to believe it was staged from the start, from there it was an open book when the dog played dead in front of the car, and concluded with a bad edit of the dog car jacking. I saw it a mile away and only kept watching to the end to see if it was going to be something heartwarming like the dog jumping into the car and wanting to be taken home. Nope.. a car jacking.. yea.. I don't even wanna..

Sadly because this is videosift, this got 50 votes.

Heartwarming the humanity.

Then he made me cry again with that final paragraph.

Will it all ever end? What is it with this need to hurt others (the original bullying)?

And how powerful is our need to feel connected -- the bullies shaving their own heads.

It's exhausting, our humanity.

Doug Stanhope - The Oklahoma Atheist

VoodooV says...

Anecdotes are the only thing selfish theists have. "Hey nevermind the horrible tragedy that has happened to countless people, *my* dog was saved, therefore god is good. The god-fearing woman even admits it. She prayed for herself...and her dog. Fuck the rest of them right?

it's a common theme for theists. horrible tragedy for others, but anecdotal heartwarming moment for *me* = god exists and is awesome.

@brycewi19 you tell me who's the bigger asshole, The atheist who is a prick for helping out another atheist and specifically not helping a theist or the selfish theist who cares more about her dog surviving than her fellow neighbors surviving.

Where exactly is he wishing terrible things for others? He does admit that he hopes they feel bad when they're eating from the FEMA truck and they come to help the atheist woman out, but that's not the same thing as what you're arguing.

The guy may be a dick about it (and he admits as much), but he proves a point, God is not required to do nice things. Theists would have you believe otherwise. Not only that, theists do things only out of fear of going to hell. atheists don't have that hangup.
