Screw them. The grammar and spelling mistakes may be the only indicator of the intelligence and education level of the person expressing the idea, which in some cases may be the only indicator of the ideas validity.
For instance, they would have ruined the best graffiti I've ever seen, on a building in Berkeley...."No More Boritons", which I thought adequately reflected the I.Q. of the artist/speaker. Changing it to read "no more abortions" would have ruined it, and changing it to "no, more abortions" both ruins it and reverses the message.
Just paint over them, guys, don't be grammar Nazi vandals.

Nowadays the only graffiti near my house is from wannabe gang members. Gang tag isn't art, but I would argue that "I woz ere" can be, if done right.

I'd love it if the city would let graffiti artists go out and improve stuff that is in disrepair or whatever, just by giving it character and humor.

We have (commissioned) graffiti here in Austin that is so famous that the city will restore it if you damage it and refuses to let the owner of the building it is on to touch it either.

Not bad, but I wish it was an augmented reality thing, allowing taggers and graffiti artists to digitally tag in real places that could be seen only by those using the app. THAT would be awesome, and might keep some people from painting places they shouldn't.

Thanks for all of the replies. That makes sense, that it could be genuine if the "surprised" actor was the first to be filmed, while the offscreen actor throws in an ad-lib when saying his lines. Then the director likes the improvised line, adds it to the script, then films the 2nd actor later.
