Interesting choice of music. I'd be surprised if they surpass the Swedish version of the first in the trilogy but I think they've got a good shot of surpassing the second two.

I would write a big reply to shepppard, but virtually everything that you've said is bollocks. You at least implied that you think it's silly that anyone wanted to take legal proceedings against the guy. Your words are so obviously from the perspective of someone who's never had someone drive through a big puddle at them (incoming denial). Newsflash - it's not the same as getting rained on, it's several gallons of water coming at you from foot level and hitting you on the rise. Your arguments would hold weight if it often rained from the floor upwards, and we wore waterproof gear to protect from that.

Honestly, there's no sarcasm in this, but i think i could change your mind on 'property damage' and 'it's just water' with a good soaking.

I really want to find out where you live, and wait till you take out a laptop or other electronic equipment anywhere in public then chuck a bucket of water on it. Hey, protect your property dude - prepare yourself and your goods to be doused with water from any angle and at any time! You're going to need 4 or 5 umbrellas, but you'll be safe!

I suspect property damage was discussed when they were passing the law and the weight of common sense won over.

@Mcboinkens it was a pretty good shot even though i was a decent cricket player at the time, i wasn't really aiming for that particular window though, it was just on a bend and i threw it at where i figured he'd be and it hit that window more by chance than anything else.

Someone threw an apple at me from a bus once - clocked me right on the head.

I laughed - it was a good shot. Actually, a pretty awesome shot. But hey - it was no puddle. Those things a so dangerous.

Toronto Police punch reporter in the face twice at G20

Beefpile says...

>> ^vlsd:

first off, the reporter was there before the police started arresting and shoving people. second, i can't believe you're advocating that the press should be intimidated by any sort of violence. that is the quickest and surest way to creating a police state.
>> ^Beefpile:
OK so there's a massive dogpile of police arresting people while being pushed, shoved, and yelled at... and this reporter decides to run into them with a camera. BRILLIANT. Why would anyone do that, I wonder? Was it because if you throw yourself in a chaotic moment like that, there is a good chance you will be injured either on purpose or by mistake? Did he want to be injured so that he could post police hate all over the internet?

I didn't advocate that press should be intimidated by violence. That's just something you assumed. I will say though, that he could have gotten a better view of the violence a few feet away. He jumped into the dogpile for a reason and it wasn't to get a better shot. If he wanted a good shot for reporting he would have stood back where he could get all of the action in view and less ambient noise.

21 foot rule (seriously)

Drachen_Jager says...

Okay... But at 21 feet and closing at that speed a good shot should be able to put 4-6 bullets into him.

He MIGHT be still standing by the time he makes it to the gunman and he MIGHT be able to still deliver a killing blow but he is DEFINITELY going to die before long himself.

Also, BOTH of the blows he managed to inflict were non life threatening, they would have stopped at the bone, the target didn't make any move to block the knife cuts or dodge and the terrain was perfect for the knife weilder (even a park bench or a bush in the way screws the 21 foot rule... As if it needed more problems).

no way I'd just be filming that...ok, so I'd get a good shot then start dodging over in front of the truck and tapping my brakes until the idiot noticed that something's up...sheesh!

yeah I agree, what they did made sense... I guess I don't know basketball that well, but I didn't think the ball would go in at half court, but right behind the basket. it'd stop the clock though, which would give them all the time in the world for a cross court pass in, then a 3. but even then, it'd only be tied (unless there was a foul)...

anyways, like i said, i went to NCSU and even i'm not really mad about it or anything. it was a good shot, they deserve the win.

UNC losing to collge of charleston already made my week anyways...
