Son and his baby girl in his home and he can't believe that it's gone in a cloud of smoke
And he's choking and running forward and hoping against hope that he might find them alive and well
When he knows the results too well and he knows that fooled himself
And he keeps walking towards the house rather what house is still left
No intention of stopping letting the smoke take his breath
Some strong arm rocks him aside Mike falls to the ground and cries

This made my day. Love seeing these people get godsmacked.

Nice work...can't say that it sounds anything like NIN, but perhaps that shouldn't surprise me. If he was wanting to do more NIN music, he'd be doing it -as- NIN. Rather like Sully Erna's solo music and Godsmack.

But whatever, I could grow really fond of this sound.

I don't get it.

For anyone who hasn't watched this because they don't care for Godsmack...let me assure you as I *promote this video, that this is something completely unlike the band. That is, after all, one of the reasons he did a solo album...to do the songs he'd written over the last 7 years that simply don't fit Godsmack's sound.

They all sound the same to me...

I'm slowly being forced into the realization that the reason I don't care for many of the hardcore metal bands boils down to their instruments. Because in almost every case, I -do- enjoy their sound when they're playing acoustics.

Admittedly, Godsmack isn't one of the ones I dislike...I very much enjoy several of their numbers, and I find Erna's voice to be nothing short of captivating. But even they sound better without all the screaming electric guitars.
