I also live on top of natural gas shale. It's happening in my town too.

Maybe your utilities should take measures? I'm sure it's not too difficult to degas the water before piping it into the municipal water grid.
Rural pennsylvania does not have a municipal water grid. Each home, farm, or development has it's own wells which pump water up from deep underground. So the only way that gas companies could do it is to install a water filtration system in every home.
I agree that this type of rural water wells have always had methane problems, but the guy who lights his water on fire and has the lawsuit - I'm sure he didn't have nearly as many problems before granting the gas drilling rights.

Christine O'Donnell: Evolution is a Myth
>> ^bobknight33:
Darwin is wrong. When you look at the Cambrian explosion, for the most part everything suddenly appears during this event is such a rapid time frame. Darwin's theory alone can not explain this event. You go from bacteria type to animals. However we all see that each species adapts and evolves as is needed.
Cambrian explosion.
Quote from the Wikipedia article you link to: "Over the following 70 or 80 million years the rate of evolution accelerated by an order of magnitude (as defined in terms of the extinction and origination rate of species) and the diversity of life began to resemble today’s."
Considering homo sapiens only appeared around 200 000 years ago, with the latest common ancestor between chimpanzees and humans existing about 4-7 million years ago, 70-80 million years seems like a fracking long time. So if humans evolved in 4-7 million, why couldn't there be an explosion of many but less intelligent/more primitive species over a 70-80 million years period? Plus, the explosion of rationality in modern humans looks to me way more problematic that an explosion of multicellular life considering the humongous advantages of multicellular organisms. They simply had to hit the right balance/combination once, and they did about 580 million years ago.

at about 3:40 or so, the presenter states, "That still leaves the question, what happened before the beginning."
Frack, If time hasn't started yet... there is no before. I know that's a tough concept for some people, but yeesh, stop saying it on the frackken news.

I just voiced my opinion on the video, why the fuck are you (and others) jumping down my throat about it? Isn't this site about sharing opinions on stuff like this? I see the video as mean-spirited in its approach; I think it could have gone about giving that information in a different way. That's all I'm saying.
Keep fighting your good fight, ID. Respek.
I see a lot of *comedy in the commercialization of this religious tradition and the many ways there are, apparently, to subvert them without pissing off God, but that doesn't mean I'm going to cross Jewish people off my Christmas card list or anything. If you really want to observe these antiquated religious traditions, then don't use your fracking stove, otherwise just go ahead and make yourself a tasty roast. If I were God, I would want nothing more for you than to enjoy a tasty roast on my day off.
