Workman Stuns Audience With His Piano Skills

New Method For Making Wood Corners For Drawers Or Boxes

Retroboy says...

This is sex for woodworkers, except you don't feel like a nap afterward.

The guy could give classes in how to make a video. Very well presented, excellent pacing and use of fast motion for the slower parts.

A pet's toys, yes, but no pets.
That said, I don't really understand the Videosift policy on channels. For example, it always seems odd to me that anything with slow motion is timeshift. Shouldn't the timeshift channel be for videos about slow/fast motion, rather than it being clogged by every single slow motion clip? That's what tags are for, I thought. I guess I thought wrong.

The way it's used now the channels are nothing more than additional tags - most of the time.

There are channels which are administrated quite nicely. See Skillful for example.

Making a jawbreaker shot glass

MilkmanDan says...

For some fun, highlight the progress bar to get a video preview. Start at the end of the video, and slowly move your mouse to the left (beginning) to watch in reverse-fast-motion -- you get to see a dude with a magic wand turn a shotglass into a jawbreaker!

I was out of town for a couple of days or I would have answered sooner, the timeshift channel is for any video that has some slow motion or fast motion in them, since this one has lots of slow motion I included that channel. Not totally sure about your last question concerning odd uses, if this pm doesn't answer your questions feel free to rephrase them and ask again.
In reply to this comment by Lawdeedaw:
Quick question if you could answer it; I noticed your video about vibrations had a timeshift on it. What is the timeshift about exactly? I know what it is generally, but what could its odd uses be for? (Artistic stuff, for example, maybe?)

Nope, that answers my questions; and thank you.

@ant - I don't think the timeshift channel was intended for every video with a little bit of incidental slow motion in it, it is more for videos in which slow motion, fast motion, time lapse or stop motion is a main feature of the video.

I disagree. We can ask people in SiftTalk.

Intense lightning storm over Brisbane November 20/08

Amazing. If there was no sound, you'd think it was in fast motion. Those storms must have been insane - and I hear the Big One is coming on Saturday.

If only we could harness this 'electrical energy' and use it to power our... homes. Oh.
