Republicans Refuse to Move On from Donald Trump

newtboy says...

Oh you poor poor imbecile. You swallowed another Trump lie hook line and sinker.

Even the “audit” team said this was likely a clerical error….and it is, theirs. The problem is, the list they used to compare to the mail in ballots mailed out includes early in person voting. So, if just 74000 people voted early in person, the tally is 100% correct.

But…the accusation was spread online, and a game of Republican telephone had Trump claiming they found 74000 fraudulent mail in votes with no records. That’s absolutely not correct, even according to the propaganda team from Cyberninja.

So far, of over 3 million, 182 ballots in AZ required further investigation, 4 were considered fraudulent. None have led to conviction.

The proper paper stock” and “not proper alignment l claims are all about in person ballots that are printed at the polls, so misalignment is normal and expected. There was no “improper paper stock” found according to cyber ninjas, Mari ops county used 80lb stock approved by Dominion, and the “not proper alignment” claim stems from the already debunked “sharpie gate” where they claimed bleed through might effect the count but never produced a single example after two audits and one cyber ninja review (it’s not an audit). The bubbles don’t align front to back, even when out of alignment, so it’s not possible for bleed through to cause a vote, and ballots with bleed through are routinely copied by bipartisan teams because they won’t scan at all, this has been true for decades.

They did not find a single mail in vote with no record of it being sent out, they compared the ballots sent number with the ballots received number and never looked to see that the votes received list included in person early voting numbers not on the ballots sent list. It took them how long to make this mistake? 4 months?

Derp! Another loss for the fraud fraud. 🤦‍♂️

On Thursday &7/15/21) the Arizona Senate held a hearing on the ongoing Maricopa County forensic audit.

The audit team announced there were 74,000 ballots that were received and included in the 2020 Election in Maricopa County than were mailed out.

The Cyber Ninjas CEO Doug Logan reported this along with other issues already identified from their investigation

They found 74,243 mail-in ballots with NO clear record of them ever being sent!

The audit team also announced that ballots were counted that WERE NOT on the proper paper stock and WERE NOT in proper printing alignment.

Other ballots were marked with Sharpie pens that bled through the paper.

According to elections expert Jovan Pulitzer what was presented today was just the appetizer before the main course to come!

Physics Professor loses $10k, face, to Veritasium

spawnflagger says...

Yes, given the evidence solely in the previous video, he presented a valid alternate hypothesis, and even 80% convinced Bill Nye.

My only problem with him (as it was presented in this video) was that he seemed sooo confident about the "divide by zero" infinite force denominator part of the equation "obvious error" that he didn't go further. "well they must be wrong because this math makes it impossible".

I do give him kudos though, because he paid on the bet.

olyar15 said:

The professor did not lose face. He had valid questions and issues with what he saw, proposed alternative possibilities that could explain the phenomenon, and accepted the answer after further experimentation and explanation.

That is how science works. Science is not a pissing match (or at least, it shouldn't be).

So he tried again.. error.. so I tried a different company, error.. this continued for a while until it finally worked. 30 mins later 3 different pizza delivery guys converged on his house and it was hilarious. At least 3 accidental orders there.

“The Reset” | 5G Built For Gamers | Verizon

fuzzyundies says...

20+ year professional game dev here. This commercial conflates a mix of common game client bugs (eg: texture streaming errors, physics glitches, and animation attachment offsets) with straight up nonsense (upper half of coffee mug popping in with a phone over and over is caused by a slow network connection?). They never show any actual network performance problems that they, as a company, have been responsible for causing in real life.

It's as if a city council came out with electrified upgrades to their formerly-diesel city buses and to promote this fact, they cut an ad showing:

- monkeys driving the bus
- constant gunfights between the elderly
- piles of feces on the floor
- bus stops existing in a quantum superposition of clearly identified and invisible
- tribal warriors on the roof spitting blowdarts at passersby
- every seat is actually a block of super-chilled ice

Never once would they point out reduction in chronic asthma to the local schoolkids or lung cancer in their bus drivers. But hey, so long as the company looks good, who cares about accuracy in ads?

Where BLM co founder spends their money

newtboy says...

Such bullshit *lies @bobknight33. Nice try trying to hurt BLMs ability to generate donations with these unfounded accusations, but it's pure bullshit as usual from you and your ilk. Liars.

There's absolutely zero evidence a single dime of BLM money was used, nor is there evidence these homes were actually owned by her or her family, or even evidence they were owned at the same time. The houses described in the articles were two were small homes in South Central and Inglewood, severely depressed areas you would call ghettos, the modest family home in Topanga, not near Beverly Hills as claimed, has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a tiny guest "house" (shed) and sits on just over a quarter of an acre-sized lot, so not a mansion but a small family home, the fourth reported purchase was a home in rural Georgia, so not worth much.

There's actually no evidence she bought anything. Dirt’s article, which is the source that all of the stories and posts about the Topanga home purchase are based on, didn’t report that Cullors purchased the home with BLM donations. It said the home was sold “to a corporate entity that public records show is controlled” by Cullors, but didn’t name the corporation.

Besides being a public figure who is paid to speak at events, Cullors is a best selling author who last year signed a lucrative contract with Warner Brothers, so she has her own money, and filings show she was paid a total of $20000 a year by BLM until 2019 when she stopped taking a dime. There's zero evidence BLM had a thing to do with these purchases, no timeline of when they were purchased or sold, no mention of who lived there....There's nothing but supposition by dishonest people like yourself who have no problem making up hurtful lies about their enemies like 4 year old snot nosed spoiled little girls trying to make themselves feel better....you lying little crybaby snowflake.

We don’t have enough information from the Dirt or Post story to answer questions like: Were these homes consecutively purchased, lived in and sold? Were other parties involved in the reported purchases? Were they lived in by family members? Did any of the addresses crop up due to errors in public records databases?

Such utter bullshit and *lies Bob. Another factless racist and just stupid attack against non whites who you think couldn't possibly buy a house without stealing the money for it.

Gonna leave this here, but I know Bob isn't interested in finding out how his game of radical right wing telephone started so he won't read it.

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/patrisse-cullors-topanga-house/

Btw, this isn't fear, isn't philosophy, is only Wtf because Wtf are you thinking posting these baseless accusations, and only fail because you once again failed to be honest. It's pure political lies by the party of lies that repeatedly make the argument that they aren't required to tell the truth about anything. Facts have a liberal bias, and truth and honesty are for liberals and have no place in your party. You're such a dishonest tool.

Edit: with Trump dividing the country and starting a failed coup with his election fraud fraud he used to bring in hundreds of millions in donations to fight against, a fight he never fought and instead put those hundreds of millions he duped you and your ilk out of into his own pockets to pay off his massive debts, including not just his failed campaign debts (that he still didn't pay for the most part) and his own private debts, it's just hilarious you would try this lie, knowing full well Trump did what you accuse Cullors of a hundred times over AFTER the election with proof he took the money, but not one scintilla against Cullors. 🤦‍♂️

Wait Bob...
Of the 20+ hours of people speaking you cherry pick a few.
I only like the funny ones.
I personally think that 70% can be explained away in a legit way.
That 70% number is based purely on your personal wishes.
I like 99.9%.
However when election law is not followed... must be looked into.
If you want to accuse of fraud you have to back that up with evidence, not hearsay. This is why elections must have a paper trail, recounts must be possible. If you want to point a finger you have to point it at something concrete, not just flail it at everything at once. All the individual accusations of fraud have turned out to be either nonsense or tiny errors (in both directions).
BARR comes out...
Sad that the great commander is surrounded by these incompetent fools. How different could history have been if only Trumps genius was truly understood and implemented by his minions.
This isn't over. Trump still has fight in him.
Probably. More funny videos incoming.

Trump and Melania Trump test positive for Covid-19

moonsammy says...

Yeah, he's clearly not a planner to any degree. Or not a generally-successful one at any rate. I'm still pretty solidly convinced he didn't actually want to be president, meaning that winning the election was actually a failure. Which would be hilarious, if the joke was only on him rather than all of us as well.

You mention no more debates as a positive, but I was actually looking forward to the town hall one. Biden would have improved at handling full-on-crazy President Asshole, and Trump talking over / ignoring the questions from the people in the town hall would look SO much worse than being a dick to Chris Wallace. I can't imagine Trump's performance would have improved in any notable way, as he's not one for putting in the work OR admitting to any errors.

newtboy said:

I hope you're right, but I've been conditioned to not believe a word he says, especially words he tweets.

It's not a failure if he can come out on TV every few days saying how much of a nothing burger Covid is, looking none the worse (I almost wrote "healthy"). That could be a triple win....no more horrible debates, show he's right that Covid isn't dangerous, and show his people how strong he still is by never showing symptoms, then he gets to play hooky from presidenting but still put on the Trump show from his bedroom. That is giving him a huge benefit of a doubt thinking he's capable of creating a plan, though.

Democrats For Violence

newtboy says...

https://youtu.be/sbVr5FvASYU

Yeah...Americans are fed up with the Democrats. Lol. So deluded.
If you lived in this country, you would know better. Almost 1/3 fewer Republicans than 3.5 years ago, support among independents has fallen from >46% to <36%, and among democrats it's within the margin of error to say he has 0% of democratic votes...in fact recent polling indicates Democrats have almost twice the percentage of the remaining Republican's votes than vise versa....about 8% R voting D vs 4% D voting R.
Trump is president. If he can't lead the entire country, not just the parts that are so sycophantically Stockholm syndromed that they wouldn't think of complaining about his deadly failures or contradicting his lies, he's unqualified.

BTW, DeJoy's ploy to make mail in voting fail are in trouble. A federal judge just barred the usps from any changes at all until after the election, after reversing all the slow down methods DeJoy implemented, and ordered any post office that needs their equipment returned to petition the court directly and the court will order it's reinstallation. No word what they'll do about the equipment that was intentionally destroyed, I can only hope it will be repurchased at DeJoy's expense, but I doubt it.

Looks like Trump hired another unqualified felon for his swamp....because he only knows crooks.

Never going to answer @wtfcaniuse? What has Trump accomplished that's"great" for America?
Just like you won't answer me when I ask you to bring up just one single case of the widespread, well known voter fraud schemes by Democrats, while I've been happy to point out a half dozen cases of Republican frauds totaling thousands of instances of vote fraud (some cases involved thousands of votes).

So sad, Bob. Sad that your ilk was thrown out of the mental institutions by Regan and you think that indicates you are well....it doesn't.

The Designoid Dimension - mindblowing 3D fractal animation

kir_mokum says...

it doesn't implement well in a VFX pipeline (though he argues it *could). lack of camera import/export, lack of AOVs, lack of geo import/export, lack of motion blur make it pretty much untenable. plus too many errors, aliasing, noise that would require a lot of work to clean up.

FlowersInHisHair said:

Well, the artist who made this video (in Mandelbulb 3D) earns a living as a fulltime fractal artist using this software. He produces music videos and concept art, all kinds of stuff. There's another program out there called "Mandelbulber" that isn't as sophisticated but Mandelbulb 3D is capable of producing stunning results imo. I don't think it's all that limited.

Mark 38 Machine Gun Hits Small Boat Targets

newtboy says...

I've wondered the same thing, I'm guessing because the guidance system is new? It looks like it's only on the newer version 2. I've seen this spread before when they shoot at small boats, so I don't know if it's error or intentional, it might be trying to hit 2' below the water line but the tracer rounds just bounce on water while real 30mm rounds don't? Maybe it's practice to warn off approaching ships without hitting them?

Side note, there actually was a phalanx in the video shooting, but the much slower shots at the boat were the mark 38.

SFOGuy said:

Oh! really helpful answer---my next question: why does that guidance system and ballistics computer seem to have issues putting almost all the rounds on the target?

RNC 2020 & Kenosha: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)

eoe says...

Woo boy, this is a doozy! The fact of the matter is a video comment section is not the place to have this conversation. There's too much to discuss, too many questions from one another that are best asked soon after they're conceived, etc. I frankly just don't have the time to respond to everything you said. Don't take this as acquiescence; if you'd like to have a Zoom chat some time, I'd be down.

In any event, I'll respond to what I find either the most important or at least most interesting:

Having theories is definitely the best way to go about most of the things you consider fact (for the moment), but the fact of the matter (no pun intended) is that at some point you'll need to use some of those claims as fact/belief in order to take action. And it's just human nature to, if one believes in a claim for long enough, it becomes fact, despite all your suggestions of objectivity. It's easy to say you're a scientist through and through, but if you're really someone who doesn't believe anything and merely theorize things, I think you'd be a sad human being. But that's a claim that I leave up to the scientists.

> Yes, and I eat animals because they're delicious.

You think that's a defensible moral claim? I find that disgraceful. If you truly think your own pleasure is worth sentient beings' lives then... I don't know what to say to you. That strikes me as callous and unempathetic, 2 traits you often assert as shameful. This is my point. You sound pretty obstinate to at least a reasonable claim. To respond with just "they're tasty". You don't sound reasonable to me.

> You may be correct, but eating meat is hardly the worst thing humans are up to.

Aw, come on @newtboy, I thought better of you than to give me a logical fallacy. The fact that you're resorting to logical fallacies wwould indicate to me that either you're confronting some cognitive dissonance, otherwise why would you stoop to such a weak statement?

> I gladly discuss vegetarianism with honest people, but I'm prepared when they start spouting bullshit like " eating any red meat is more harmful than smoking two packs a day of filterless cigarettes" ...

There is a lot of scientific research (not funded by Big ___) that is currently spouting this "bullshit". What happened to your receptive, scientific, theory-based lifestyle? It's true nutrition science is a fucking smog-filled night mare considering how much money is at stake, but I find it telling that a lot of the corporations are using the same ad men from Big Cigarette to stir up constant doubt.

Again, I find it peculiar that you are highly suspicious of big corporations... except when it comes to something that you want to be true.

Again, this is my point. Take a moment, take a few breaths, and look inside. Can you notice that you're acting in the exact same fashion as the people you purport to be obscenely stubborn?

Check out NutritionFacts if you want to see any of the science. Actual science. I would hope that it would give you at least somedoubt and curiosity.

That's a true scientist's homeostatic state: curiosity. Are you curious to investigate the dozens (hundreds?) of papers with a truly non-confirmation-biased mind? How much of a scientist are you?

> I've never met a vegan that wasn't a bold faced liar in support of veganism, so I'm less likely to give them a full chance at convincing me.

This, for me, raises all sorts of red flags. That's quite a sweeping claim.

> Again, that would be long held theories in my case, and it's not hard to change them. Mad cow disease got me to change until I was certain it wasn't in America. No, I'm not recoiling. I'll listen to anyone who's respectful and honest.

So, you're willing to make decisions based on self-interest and not morality? Well, duh. Everyone does that. It doesn't sound like you had a self-reflective moment. It sounds like you merely had a self-interested decision based on the risk to your own health.

And finally, all your talk about Bob -- of course he acts, consistently, like a twat. I just don't like feeding trolls. I don't think there's anyone on Videosift who's on the precipice and would be pushed over into the Alt-right Pit by Bob's ridiculous nonsense.

> Edit: in general I agree that dispassionate fact based replies with references are better at convincing people than derision, there are exceptions, and there are those who are unconvinceable and disinterested in facts that don't support their lies.

Ironically, I think science has disproved this. Facts don't change minds in situations like this. There are lots of articles on this. I didn't have the wherewithal to dig into their citations, but I leave that (non-confirmation-biased) adventure for you. [1]

---

I knew I wouldn't make this short, but I think it's shorter than it could have been.

Lastly, I'm with @BSR; I do appreciate your perseverance. Not everyone has as much as you seem to have! Whenever I see Bob... doing his thing, I can always be assured you'll take most of the words from my mouth. [2]

If the remarks being contradicted are not only smug they're also ridiculous, devoid of fact, racist, and or dangerously stupid (like insisting in May that Coronavirus is a hoax that's not dangerous and is a "nothing burger", and everyone should be back at work), and contradicting them with facts and references and +- 1/4 the disrespect the original remarks contained makes people vote for Trump, that does indicate they were already trumpsters imo.

Edit: It's like Democrats have a high bar to clear, but Republicans have no depth too deep to stoop to.

Trump changes Bob's beliefs daily, every time he changes a position Bob changes his belief to make the new position seem reasonable to him. He is not consistent. No other opinion matters to him.

I don't hold beliefs, I have theories. It's easy to change your theory when given new information, I do all the time. Beliefs don't work that way, so I avoid them as much as possible.

Yes, and I eat animals because they're delicious. I would eat people if they were raised and fed better, but we are polluted beyond recovery imo.

You may be correct, but eating meat is hardly the worst thing humans are up to. Killing for sport seems worse, so do kill "shelters", puppy mills, habitat destruction, ocean acidification, etc....I could go on for pages with that list. I try to eat free range locally farmed on family farms meat, not factory farm meat. I know the difference in quality.

I gladly discuss vegetarianism with honest people, but I'm prepared when they start spouting bullshit like " eating any red meat is more harmful than smoking two packs a day of filterless cigarettes" (yes, someone insisted that was true because they didn't care it wasn't, it helped scare people, I contradicted him every time he lied.) The difference is, I could agree with some of their points that weren't gross exaggeration, I agreed that excessive meat eating is horrible for people, I agree that most meat is produced under horrific conditions, I would not agree that ALL meat is unhealthy in any amount and ALL meat is tortured it's entire lifetime because I know from personal experience that's just not true. We raised cattle, free range cattle, in the 70's. They were happy cows that had an enjoyable life roaming our ranch until the day they went to market, a life they wouldn't have if people didn't eat meat.

I've never met a vegan that wasn't a bold faced liar in support of veganism, so I'm less likely to give them a full chance at convincing me. The fact checking part of my brain goes on high alert when talking with them about health or other issues involved in meat production, with excellent reason.

Again, that would be long held theories in my case, and it's not hard to change them. Mad cow disease got me to change until I was certain it wasn't in America. No, I'm not recoiling. I'll listen to anyone who's respectful and honest.

Here's the thing, Bob consistently trolls in a condescending, self congratulatory, and bat shit crazy way. Turnabout is fair play.
As the only person willing to reply to him for long stretches, I know him. I've had many private conversations with him where he's far more reasonable, honest, willing to admit mistakes, etc. (Something I gave up when he applauded Trump lying under oath because "only a dummy tells the truth under oath if the truth might harm them, Trump winning!") When someone is so anti truth and snide, they deserve some snidely delivered truth in return. Bob has proven he's undeserving of the civility you want him to receive, it's never returned.

Bob does not take anything in from any source not pre approved by Trump. I've tried for a decade, and now know he only comes here to troll the libtards. It doesn't matter if you show him video proof and expert opinions, he'll ignore them and regurgitate more nonsense claiming the opposite of reality. He's not trying to change minds, in case you're confused. He's hoping to trick people who for whatever reason refuse to investigate his factless hyper biased claims and amplify the madness. That he comes here to do that, a site he regularly calls a pure liberal site (it's not) is proof enough to convict him of just trolling.

Trolls deserve derision.

I spent years ignoring his little jabs, insults, derisions, and whinging and trying hard to dispassionately contradict his false claims with pure facts and references, it was no different then.
While privately he would admit he's wrong, he would then publicly repeat the claims he had just admitted were bullshit. When he started supporting perjury from the highest position on earth down as long as they're Republican but still calls for life in prison for democrats that he thinks lied even not under oath, he lost any right to civil replies imo. He bought it when Republican representatives said publicly in interviews that they have no obligation to be truthful with the American people, and he applauds it and repeats their lies with glee.

Edit: in general I agree that dispassionate fact based replies with references are better at convincing people than derision, there are exceptions, and there are those who are unconvinceable and disinterested in facts that don't support their lies. How long are you capable of rebutting them with just fact and references when they are smug, snide, insulting, dangerous, and seriously delusional if not just purely dishonest?
