It's called "countertenor". I'm surprised Simon has never heard of it.

Maybe because the only thing he knows about singing is "i like it" or "i don't like it" ?

He knows a fair bit more than that, methinks.. he seems to be the only judge on television who actually knows wtf they're talking about. In this instance, perhaps not so much.. but I agree it sounded odd. I enjoy Britain's Got Talent for giving a chance to these people who challenge our preconceived notions of what forms talent comes in.

If I may correct you mint...it is N'essun Dorma (translated: none shall sleep). My apologies, but I love the song, and so must tell you this.
My upvote, on the other hand, was for the sheer WTF factor.

Thanks, fixed the title! Makes sense after your translation

Oh, I just HAVE to edit those tags, but since it's being using as an example.

how about:

paul potts,nessun dorma,giacomo puccini,heartbreaking

or something...

I never put spaces before or after the commas, since you only get like 40 characters or something. Yeah, my biggest piece of advice has already been covered- don't double up words. My favourite title/tags is here:

The World's Most Giant Killer Spider!!!
tags: hairy, poisonous, running, spider
description: Run away!!!

That was my old favourite video until Cecilia Bartoli came along. Every time I loaded up my profile to see how my vids were doing (like 10 times a day or more) I would load that up in another tab because SO CUTE, and it's so cute because of the title/tags. Does it make it easier to find? Not really, but I love it. Part of the art and craft of making a good sift.

As moving as Nessun Dorma is (check the Pavarotti version that Woland linked, it's WAY more emotional), the song just absolutely pales in comparison to Sposa Son Disprezata that somebody sifted a while back.

I'm definitely not "into" opera, don't get me wrong- but this is the most beautiful thing i've heard in my life.

I can't recall ever having cried from just listening to music or seeing a musical performance but I can't help just loosing my shit when I watch this!
