Voltes V: Legacy: The world is under attack | MEGA TRAILER

cloudballoon says...

FYI: The "5 vehicles combine into a giant robot" concept was a very popular cartoon concept in Japanese animes WELL BEFORE Voltron. The later ones got even more than 5 members, went up to 15 and was the most outrageous of the concept (adapted into the latter Vechicle Team Voltron in Western media) iirc .

Voltes V was first aired in '77. While the original Lions Voltron came out years LATER in the mid-'80s. So can't claim plagiarism.

This is properly licensed (by TOEI Japan) trailer made by a Philippines studio, so it's legitimate and not fan-made.

"Voltes V" ws the immediate followup of "Combattler V"

I grew up with these cartoons in their original Japanese version but dubbed into Cantonese while I was in Hong Kong.

So the Philippines doesn’t believe in copyright?
This is pure plagiarism of Voltron.

Wild Bee Removal (Uninstalling Bees)

JiggaJonson says...

I have paper wasps that look an awful lot like bees ( https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c5/Wasp_May_2008-11.jpg )

I get dirty looks from my hippy neighbor when I'm spraying for them b/c he's retarded. Know the difference, paper wasps do pollinate, but they are fucking dangerous. I got stung once removing a nest (on accident, i was sawing a low hanging branch and didn't see the nest at all) and got stung on the top of my head. That fucking sting felt like a hot nail being driven into my skin by a hammer. And it felt like every few minutes someone hit the hammer again.

How to subdue a machete-wielding man without killing him

Deadrisenmortal says...

First statement = opinion
The remaining life of one man versus 30 minutes of time for 30 men.

Second statement = uninformed
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Dzieka%C5%84ski_Taser_incident

Third statement = uneducated opinion
The incident involved a large number of trained officers presumably adequately trained to assess and address the situation

The entire last paragraph = biased conjecture
All projected outcomes proposed are negative. All possible positive outcomes ignored.

Troll Score = 10/10
Every word inflammatory and pointless yet I am compelled to reply...

Well played sir.

This seems woefully inefficient. A few tazers would have incapacitated him a lot quicker and more safely and woudn't have required 30 cops with riot shields. This guy was a threat and the longer the cops waited to subdue him, the more likely he was to hurt someone.

And now the guy's in a mental hospital (probably on taxpayer money), receiving treatment that probably won't work. If he is ever released or escapes, there's a fair chance that he'll hurt someone or do something dangerous. If he is never cleared for release, he'll continue to be a drain on resources while contributing nothing to society or the economy.

This scene is based on a true story: Hachikō
"In 1924, Hidesaburō Ueno, a professor in the agriculture department at the University of Tokyo, took in Hachikō, a golden brown Akita, as a pet. During his owner's life, Hachikō greeted him at the end of each day at the nearby Shibuya Station. The pair continued their daily routine until May 1925, when Professor Ueno did not return. The professor had suffered from a cerebral hemorrhage and died, never returning to the train station where Hachikō was waiting. Every day for the next nine years the dog waited at Shibuya station."
