More idiotic stupidity. Anti-American wishful thinking, wishing the economy was tanking so you could blame Biden, but you would never under any circumstances give him credit for the boom…to the extent you actually deny the economy is doing well to avoid crediting Biden. 😂 It’s exactly what Don Poorleon told you to do…he hopes the economy will crash before the election because it might benefit him personally, who cares what it does to America. It’s why MAGA is outraged that a spending bill got through, they want another disastrous government shutdown, and would blame the left for the costly effects despite being the obvious culprits.

The economy is doing great, despite the ridiculous statements that you cut and pasted about “”survey based hope”, whatever the fuck that’s supposed to be, on Bulgarian site zerohedge, an extreme far right propaganda site that is so outrageous in its constant stupid lies only idiots can believe that it’s been banned from google and others for claiming pseudoscience and insane conspiracy theories as facts. https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/zero-hedge/
You cannot think for yourself at all anymore, to the point you can’t even read an article and give a synopsis, all you can do is cut and paste nonsense. What a sad useless state to be in.

And what do you get from them, more ridiculous prognostications of doom and gloom that absolutely never come to pass. “Sure, we admit that under Biden’s leadership everything is great now, way better than Trump left the country/economy, but it’s all about to crash because Biden is incompetent and has just been coasting on Trump’s success for 3 years.” You’ve been trying to sell that absolute insanity for 3 years now.

Facts- GDP up, wages up, inflation down, stock market booming, jobs still at unprecedented high levels, interest rates steady. Is this “report” (that you know I’m not clicking Mr virus) just abut Tesla or Facebook or Toth Senchal? Trump org? Are its stats coming from Dementia Don? Sounds like it. It’s certainly not about the country as a whole.
America’s economy recovered from the disastrous covid (non) response that was the worst among western nations (in 2020 1/4 of worldwide covid deaths happened in America under Trump, 5 times the worldwide per capita average), recovering faster and stronger than any other western nation.

You really need to try real news sources, not just propaganda sites that sell you stories you want to be true. Sucker.

Bidenomics Blowback - Survey-Based Sentiment Collapses As 'Hope' Evaporates

Under the hood was even more problematic:

New orders fell at a faster pace; signaling contraction

Employment fell at a slower pace; signaling contraction

Inventories fell at a faster pace; signaling contraction

Supplier deliveries fell and a faster pace; signaling contraction

Production fell at a faster pace; signaling contraction

Order backlogs fell at a slower pace; signaling contraction

Worse still, Prices paid rose again!

So, in summary: slower growth, declining production, shrinking orders, falling employment... and accelerating inflation - is it any wonder that 'soft survey' data is collapsing - not exactly election-winning headlines.

Biden's foreign policy is just as bad--- a bad joke.

president trump announces a new and better national anthem

No, no, Bob is not Russian, and he is not a professional troll.

He is a voluntary contributor. Happy working for free.

Trump on the other hand is a professional troll and his next wife is probably going to be Serbian, the one after that Bulgarian, then across the Black sea to marry a sultry young Russian model.

And then the Russian connection will be complete and Trump will be eligible to become, after his second term as POTUS, president of the USSR. Yes it will be called that. Yes Putin will be Generalissimus.

Hey, that was one passionate couple of months of protest in 2013-Up until then Bulgaria was relatively quiet!
I did find this Bulgarian wedding ring quite interesting though...

OK, OK, that's an outlier, but Bulgaria isn't exactly paradise, either. They do seem to know a thing or two about weddings, though!

Doesn't seem to be an inordinate amount of obese folks in the Bulgarian herd, eh? Lesse...Fit, healthy, have their own language, a culture intact after how many centuries? Peeps have been in that region since way before Al the great and Rome fucked-em over, quite the rich, intact history.

Compare to my country with fast-food sense of culture, a language hi-jacked by hip-hop, mumblers, and newsspeak (can't decide which irks me most), and a history of ass-raping sans lube....3 of the many reasons the U.S. might make it to 250 years-old...Sooooo, 13 years left.

I can only base my opinion on what I've seen via the internet and though experience with Ukrainian classmates.

One thing that struck me was when a Russian woman and I were talking about our Danish husbands and how nice Scandinavian men are in general. Some Ukrainian (and Bulgarian) women jumped in on the conversation and said Danish men don't act like "real men" and were too nice/emotional. I instantly loose respect for anyone who says how a real man (or women) is supposed to act.

Well, take this with a grain of salt, but the supposedly bulgarian commenters on the Reddit thread are fairly certain that this was staged.

And it was a pellet gun? Seriously wtf is going on in Bulgaria.

Scientists Convicted of Manslaughter Sentenced to 6 years

hpqp says...

When I read of this in the newspaper this morning I was thoroughly disgusted. It reminds me of the Bulgarian nurses affair in Libya: have a problem that reflects poorly on the government? Blame some random specialists of the relevant field, ya basta, the plebeians have a false sense of justice rendered for their veritable loss, and the government gets off scot-free.

I hope this goes straight to the European High Court in appeal, and the sentences repealed.

Naked people at the Opera

legacy0100 says...

I think they were trying to create a visual spectacle that resembles a medieval tapestry for a couple's wedding. So it's not exactly an opera, but more of a wedding show. The theme is consistent as the performance takes place in a giant church, in front of what looks to be a map of the known world in medieval times. The choir sings in a Bulgarian Orthodox chant style (http://youtu.be/js2Ga92Ta14), again the theme of Medieval church.

So the theme is consistent, but still I'm having trouble getting the overall message. I see that there are two couples that are highlighted, so my guess is that the message is about 'relationships' or 'love'. At first the play starts in still motion and everything peaceful. Then it goes through various emotions. Pain, joy, excitement, turbulence, etc. This part may be eluding to what love or relationships are like. And finally, after the couples kiss, everyone breathes, and sighs, to signal that the craziness is over and we can now rest. At the moment of their kiss the cherubs of the world (probably their close friends) are stretching their arms towards them and blesses their unification.

FOX's Shep Smith: Was that Canadian Health Care Story Fair?

Winstonfield_Pennypacker says...

Federal...provincial

I expect the opposition would be a lot less strident to Obamacare if there was specific language in any of hte bills that created a system of state programs with only loose federal oversight. Problem is, the bills in Congress aren't talking about that. People like me have a hard time believing the feds are just going to step back. All current bills point to the creation of a large federal system where money is sent to Washtington and then doled out from there ala Medicare & Medicaid.

CBO estimates

I only brought up the CBO as an example to show that even Obama's own agency does not expect this plan to 'save' money. You're using it like a Jungian archetype. "If the CBO says it will cost 2 trillion, that means it'll only cost 1.4 trillion." Uh - sure - that's how it all works... :eyeroll:

Use whatever 'estimate' you like. Use some estimate that says Obamacare will magically produce free money on trees and the whole ball of wax will only cost $6.50 and a pack of Mentos. The specific estimate in question you prefer is utterly irrelevant. The point is that any federal program created to manage health care will end up costing WAY more than estimated and will manifest as a massive money pit that sucks in billions and spits out below-average results ala Medicare/aid.

What we should be comparing is out of pocket cost for health care as a percentage of after tax income

No - I'd say we should be looking at total out of pocket costs including taxes. That means we don't just look at how much I'm spending on private care, but we also look at how much we have to pay for the whole deal. Every bill in congress to date is not projected to cost individual taxpayers 'less' when all costs are tallied. There will be taxes, monthly payments to a 'plan', office visit fees, co-pays, prescription drug costs, 'for service' fees for any 'non approved' treatments. And on and on and on.

People talking as if Obamacare will just be "Yay - I can go anywhere and get treated for anything and it's all FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Uh - no - that's total bullcrap. You have only to look at Medicare and Medicaid today to see the future of Obamacare. Substandard coverage, high costs, and big fat government involvement in what you can & can't have. The writing is right there on the wall. It's as plain as a Bulgarian pin-up. How anyone can delude themselves into thinking Obamacare will be the FIRST program in government history to buck the trend is beyond me.

Winstonfield lives in a world where if everyone owns a gun, everyone is safer.

Typical neolib issue avoidance. I live in a world where common sense & reality must be dealt with. Obamacare ignores both.

FOX News Host Not Happy With GI Joe Movie's Internationalism

thepinky says...

>> ^campionidelmondo:
I think Transformers was about space robots defeating other space robots.

Yes. Robots aided by Americans. I also seem to recall our FBI or CIA or something being involved, as well as our military. Some scenes took place on Air Force One...

As for the other movies, they're all pre-Bush. The international perception of american patriotism has taken a turn for the worse thanks to Dubya.

Ah, people can still handle American patriotism. The hatred isn't as intense or as widespread as some people seem to think. Of course it's there, but not to the point where G.I. Joe would be largely unwelcome. I don't know for sure, of course, but because I'm an ESL tutor at my university, I know many international students (South Korean, Mexican, Canadian, British, German, Vietnamese, Haitian, Bulgarian, South African, Romanian, and more). I've also had a Mexican roommate and a Canadian roommate. I've talked to several of these close friends about the international opinion of the U.S. (not just their own opinions), and it doesn't seem all THAT bleak. I'm not basing my opinion solely on this, but it helps.

Also, while some movies might seem very american to you, they sell well abroad because they have an easily relateable theme. Matrix told the story of man vs. machine, Independence Day man vs. aliens, Armageddon man vs. giant rock etc...

Don't be silly. Almost ALL movies have an easily relatable theme. My point is that all of these movies happen to feature American Man vs. Global Threat. What is more annoyingly ethnocentric and American than that?

Glenn Beck: Obama is Racist, Hates White People

Winstonfield_Pennypacker says...

Crudely put, exaggerated, and using loaded language - but I think the fundamental analysis is sound. Obama is a racist. A black racist, and he holds many racist views and opinions about white people. It's sad to say, you can't examine his words and his record without arriving at this conclusion. The man is uncomfortable around white people and holds many prejudices against them. That's racism.

Look at how he treated the whole Beergate issue. He blatantly admitted that he "didn't know the facts", but went ahead and made the assumption that the white police officer "acted stupidly". Well, thanks to a smart police officer we know that's total bullcrap. Gates was belligerent, offensive, insulting, and WAY out of line and it was all on tape. The officer did everything by the book, and was more than forbearing with the obviously racist Mr. Gates who routinely refused to cooperate with simple, common sense requests just because he was dealing with a white cop (who happened to be an expert on racial profiling).

So Obama weighs in without any facts and ASSUMED that this was all the officers fault for no reason except that in his racist brain "White cop + black citizen = white person bad". Well it all blew up in his face because when you make a STUPID RACIST ASSUMPTION based on your negative prejudices then it doesn't hold up. The facts proved that not only was Crowley right, but that Gates was a class-A jackass racist.

So what does Obama do? Does he apologize to the cops that he maligned and insulted. Nope. He has the cheek and gall to go out and say how he 'regrets that people mis-interpreted his comments". He doesn't even have the guts to admit when he's wrong because in his racist mind he thinks he's RIGHT. He's such a racist that he can't even bring himself to admit that Gates was totally 100% wrong in how he handled himself, and that Crowley was 100% right. Instead he clings to his prejudices and his biases and pretends that the cop still could have handled things better. That's RACISM.

So's crap like saying his own grandma is a 'typical white person'. So's going to Reverend Wright's little race palace for 20 years and not walking out when he rails against all the whiteys. So's writing a freaking BOOK called "A story of RACE and inheritance" in which he talks about the 'act' he puts on around white people.

Face facts folks. Glenn Beck isn't exactly very eloquent about it, and he tries to make it sound worse than it probably is, but when you get right down to it his basic accusation is correct. Obama is a racist who holds a TON of prejudices against white people. It's as plain as a Bulgarian pin-up. It doesn't mean Obama 'hates' white people. It just means that when he bumps into a white person that the little wheels in his brain paint a picture of that white guy which is colored with the palate of his biases. The result is that he 'treats' that person as if they're the "white man" caracature he's created in is brain. It doesn't mean he's going to joing the Blu Blax Blan or torch whitey homes. But when he's faced with a situation like the Gates/Crowley fiasco you better believe it makes him side with the jackasses like Gates 100% of the time for no reason except the other guy is white.

And that's sad. Pathetic and sad. I like to hope that intelligent people have more sense than that. But I have to shake my head and reluctantly conclude based on the preponderance of evidence (Obama's actions & words) that our President is a small, petty, prejudiced man.
