Shake That Pussy

deathcow says...

This may not be a violation of videosift terms, but it is clearly a cat doing a very poor job of removing a sock. He needs to pull down around the ankle first or the overall traction of the entire garment will continue to overpower his small muscles and frame.

We don't make the news because we are small potatoes. And the problems won't show up until next summer.

California has been robbing water from all over for years. I find it particularly galling that this decades old thievery is just now getting more wide notice. I lived down there 30 years ago, and it was a problem then.

We don't get that much snow, really, not at sea level. But the Olympic Mountains usually get covered up -- and that is our water source. Usually.

We'll get maybe one really good snow every year and a half. Last year, it snowed three days in a row -- unprecedented. And now we get none.

Hence the "half."

Those who cross country ski are hungry for it. They'll ski in ankle deep snow!

Washington as well? What's the deal on the west coast these days? Over here, you only ever get short articles about the Colorado or the current drought in the southwestern States, mainly California.

By the way, just finished shoveling again, though I suppose it's a pitiful amount of snow compared to what you get ("skiing to work"). Still, even the ankle-deep snow gives me immense pleasure.

Grown man from UK reality show can't answer basic questions

entr0py says...

I have to admit, my brain can turn to pudding with enough social anxiety. But I really hope it's never been that bad.

Then again he is deliberately on television wearing an ankle watch, so self-consciousness might not be the problem there.

He was obviously picturing a cube when asked about a square.

An ankle watch? Now there's something I've never seen before.

Who's that lady who asks him about his watch? I like her hairdo.

Nature Serves Justice to Hat/Shirt Thief

Deano says...

This was filmed in a classy neighbourhood. In the rough part of town their trousers are at ankle level.

Mad props for the "victim" of the shirt and hat theft to not immediately go to ground and pound when the thief knocked himself out.

Hydrogen Peroxide Tick Injection

Feel the same lack of remorse for houseflies, wasps, hornets, and yellow-jackets-all other bugs may walk with assurance of the remainder of their trek here, all about my ankles and toes.

While I'm sure it's cruel. I don't care because it's a fucking tick.

Remember what Loki said to all the peeps in that Iron Man flick, enoch??...It's in our nature to bow-down and grab our ankles so we can be told what we a re supposed to do; Robotic apes can't help it, we're predictable creatures with shitty habits!

Sooooo...hesitant beating the term "paradigm" into oblivion, but until our collective way of being makes the next leap in societal/spiritual/biological evolution, the world is doomed to a continual cycle of power and resources consolidated and exploited by the few.
Our current archetypical criterion have been used as whips and chains, and the distillation or contamination knowledge has always wielded the most effective results for those who would dictate humanity's course.

The Seller of Smoke

TheSluiceGate says...

The travelling salesman trope, and it's implications, are as old as the hills. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TravelingSalesman

In that case shouldn't the narrative have been shown from the point of view of the village occupants? The closest we saw to them suffering any consequences of their actions was a distant puff of purple smoke as the Smoke Seller laughed.

If let the buyer beware was the point, then show me the buyers suffering the consequences. A massive guard dog turning into a mangy ankle-biter while defending his owner from a burgler, the boy's airplane / rocket turning back into a pointy stick and catching him in the eye, show me the old ladies at a fancy party being laughed at when their fancy bags and clothes turn back into tat, or the major becoming a laughing stock when, as he goes to unveil it to invited dignitaries, his massive monument tuns back into a walking cane (without even a jewel adorning it anymore).

a guy dupes a bunch of people and gets away? sounds like allegory to something pretty obvious to me... religion? politics? maybe its just an animated film...

in case you missed it the point was Buyer Beware, pretty simple. Even the seller himself was an illusion...
