Impossible, unless there is some weird science way for water to become hard for some reason. But how likely is that to happen in a country as far north as Finland?

I'm way to water conscious to ever think this is a good idea (California water shortage,from my youth, still imprinted in my mind). That being said I bet it would be awesome.

In what way ?

Hot water radiators (possibly the type in this skit) are powered by circulating hot water from a boiler. the water only gets to a certain temperature and then is dispursed through the pipes of the building.

The water stops flowing when the room itself/thermometer registers that the air temperature is what you want it to be.

The water/radiator does not heat up quicker if you jack the temperature on the dial, the water just flows longer to heat the air up longer. The water is at a constant temperature, unless you have a shit boiler/water heater.

Electrics might be different, well they are actually when they have settings like 500 watt 1000 watt and 1500 watt settings. But in apartments it all depends on what the thermostat reads.

I thought I was being funny. I already talked to gwiz about what he meant via the Chat feature. We did not get into it to far, but I honestly think I am right in the matter. internet is not akin to water, you dont need it to live, it is not a right by any means, it is a service provided for a person, the same way processed water is provided to homes, water by nature is a human right if you go to a creek and drink from it, not if it is processed and cleaned piped and metered. See I am lazy, I can go on and on on what I think of the subject, but I just dont care to keep going, my fingers get tired. so instead I wrote what you quoted.

Ok I found this very very interesting and a bit dubious. So I went on a little mini mission - what I was most interested in was the birth day of Horus, which I could not find.

What I did find was this rebuttal (and a few others closely modelled after it)

I went to what is probably only one of MANY versions of the Horus story, the famed "Book of the dead"

And of Horus' conception it reads:

Which sounds like an immaculate birth to me.

What I haven't done - is look through the rest of the document to find out if it mentions Isis having sex. And if it does, then I need to find out if the Book of the Dead is an amalgam of older fables (which I suspect it is). And if it is, does one of these fables, in its discrete form, portray Isis as a virgin? thereby proving there was a view/tale which pronounced the Sun-god of a virgins birth.

And if it does, the same treatment should be given to the rest of the claimed parrallels.


It seems to me that allot of the rebuttals (though im sure they dont claim to do this) find one, or even multiple accounts that do NOT gel with the tale of Jesus.

I'd like to go through the sources on by one, I wouldn't be surprised if some/most are not legitimate. But the fact that the book of the Dead can be INTERPRETED as correlating with one keystone aspect of the birth of Jesus makes me mildly interested. Im sure its way less water tight than portrayed, the entire religion debate would be totally moot if it was that easy.

I've got more important things to do, so Im hoping someone has already done this for me
