Its probably not a good idea to cook Minced meet rare , if the burger is made from a single cut stake and not reconstituted meet then it should be fine , the whole point of evan frying cow meet at all Evan when u want it blue is that the inside is generally sterile but the outside accumulates bacteria. I think he's like this because of the people that surround him; how could you not be. I would also try to make many a joke that they don't understand unless they look up a turn of phrase--on their iPad (a glorified non-cellphone/unless you really need/want to spend that much money on one-"buggy and slow"-device).

Yes, I've used my Dad's. It certainly has some nifty features (which have all been invented or used already), but since it's Apple and it has the name i"x", it must be a game changing, revolutionary, cutting edge, never crashes, solves: world hunger, bi-polar, cancer, Fox News, heralds baby Jesus's return to Earth in North Western Missouri; and it has a shelf/I'm mean battery life of 30.62 days--or so I've heard.

It was semi-slow (that wasn't very surprising); slow in two departments: switching and starting between and new apps or processes. Second, the Wi-Fi connection was flaky (either not downloading or when downloading, even including the occasional burst speeds, it averaged 22 KBps (as I say below it should at least be going 100-200 KBps [this is still incredibly slow], as his connection has a download rate of 1.2-1.5 MBps). I'll play with that a bit more (as I think it may have been the wireless router as he has a 14-Megabit connection).

The games were fun and a few of the apps were great. But, I'd rather have a lightweight fully functional notebook PC with a 16:9 screen, atleast 720p, and a fully customizable network adapter. ...And to be blunt, I'd much rather have Windows 7 or even Vista (fully patched), as both have great functionality and support plus their 64-Bit support is great. Plus I can put in a full Blu-Ray drive that comes with PowerDVD.

Better applications, better games and support. Yes, this is an anti-apple rant as I think all of their once "highly revered" features: functionality, non-crashing, no hacking (hah!), graphical editing applications (which is a "contract" feature), sound editing applications (same as the last), and it's "ease-of-use" (which is now a completely moot point). Apple is still successful, because they find niche products that do well; like the Nintendo DS. The iPod (although the screens break a bit to early, my only complaint) and the iPhone are great products and fill a gap in a niche market. The iPad does the same thing, but from what I've tried it needed another year (plus some spec changes like a 16:9 screen going up to 720p (which is HD not this stupid licensing agreement so they can use the logo on a nice, but NOT HD screen (I think it's XGA or 1024x768), a connection port that could handle a multitude of devices: usb, 1394, ethernet, gamepads, speakers, etc I know it does some of this already, especially in the bluetooth department.

But, I feel that it should have come with the large flash/ssd drive, cell phone features (which they do have, it just costs an arm and a leg), more functionality for the "touch pen" (some mouse-like buttons etc...), FLASH & FULL browser SUPPORT (not having flash, plus other regular features "kills it" in a lot of ways)--Apple has to have their money/way though; I don't think they've got any clue when they shoot themselves in the foot), and a slightly faster (or duo-core) processor to help the experience feel more smooth; they have a: "1GHz Apple A4 custom-designed chip" were as a Intel Atom that has an nVidia extension may have been a better choice (I'm not to sure about battery usage for these guys, but from the devices it was used in it wasn't too bad).

So in the end (damn this was WAY longer than expected) I think they should have refined it for another year. Got some REAL user feedback; give it to people that don't work for the ass-kissing mainstream Apple press-core (yes, I'm talking about the likes of Engadget). Then, actually work on their gripes! People already seem willing to pay an arm and a leg for their stuff, so if the price goes up one-hundred, don't worry all your loyal'ii will still buy it. Anyway...this didn't happen, so I was left feeling underwhelmed by it and would instead by a nice laptop.

BTW, Brian Williams is the shit!

/This post may seem anti=Apple and in a lot of ways it is, but I would like them to make a good tablet (or awesome tablet--if they'd pull their collective heads out of their asses). It seems to me that any company, right now, that takes some time and makes a fast, reliable, easy-to-use, with 720p (and lots of video/codecs support)...will destroy Apple's iPad longterm (right now I just see Android tablets, but the ones I've seen are underwhelming).

Students are lead in the pledge of allegiance (to the flag) every morning. So every room where students may start the day needs a flag.


Only in some states. The number of such states increased a bit in the post-911 jingoism. For example in Missouri we had to say the pledge daily until about 1992, then it was removed in favor of actually spending that time learning something, and then in 2002 Missouri's congress passed a law that forced my school district to do the pledge once a week. I think the pledge of allegiance is creepy because it simultaneously resembles both Nazi Germany and The Borg.

Taxes are not means of social change, they pay for government...that is their function. Trying to motivate or punish via taxes is wholly immoral. Such should be considered "bill of attainder". The precedent that best reflects most of the original intention of the mandates is from Cummings v. Missouri. It states:

A bill of attainder, is a legislative act which inflicts punishment without judicial trial and includes any legislative act which takes away the life, liberty or property of a particular named or easily ascertainable person or group of persons because the legislature thinks them guilty of conduct which deserves punishment.

The United States Constitution forbids bills of attainder under Article I, Section 9. You might as well punish people for drinking soda via taxes, or who don't take showers, or take to many. Such are not the role of taxes, or a legislature.

I didn't say the kid looked at my dog. I said he STARED at my dog for well over 30 seconds without moving just staring right at him.

Do people normally stare intensely at things that cause them pure fear? I don't. I keep walking and mind my business.

The kid is ignorant as to how to deal with dogs. Whether or not he or his family owns dogs is irrelevant. I learned, from reading, when I was a young kid, how to escape an alligator(Run in a zig zag). I live in Canada so I'm unlikely to be meet an alligator. Kids should at least be educated in how to deal with dogs.

Furthermore, I already said that I screwed up by letting the dog off the leash. My point in telling the story is people should be educated in how to deal with dogs. At least as educated in how to deal with dogs as Canadians are with how to deal with alligators.

And I called the cop a fat, dumb, bitch because she threatened to shoot my dog, when I already had his leash in my hands, because he was excited and wanted to greet her. Also, she was at least 220 lbs and like 5'6 so yeah she was a dumb, fat bitch.

From the article, "Howell testified that the dog growled as he tried to load it into a truck, that it later broke free from a chain tied to the vehicle and eventually charged as he tried to capture it with a six-foot catchpole."

Except, watching the video is proof of some exaggeration in his statements. At time 4:39 the dog moves off camera, and Howell follows it with the catchpole. Less than ten seconds later Howell manages to slip the catchpole over the dog's head and secure it. The dog immediately flips out, coming back onto camera with the chain still attached (until it visibly flies off at the end of his tether). The dog continuously tries to escape, alternating between blindly running, and turning to bite at the thing around its neck. There's about thirty seconds of this before the dog seems to give up, and stands still. And then, it gets shot.

So, the dog broke off the chain only as a direct result of having been noosed by the officers. She never charged directly at the officers, and she was shot only when she was visibly no longer resisting. This is quite a different picture from the impression the article gives, that the dog slipped the chain and was charging the officers when it was shot. If it had happened as they said, I'd have felt that it was unfortunate, but justifiable. But this? There had to be options left to them before shooting someone's dog to death.

It doesn't come off as nitpickish and I thank you for your rational response. But if you click on the video and go to the first youtube video part 1 of 2, I don't see how the dog was being life threatening, which would be the requirement to use lethal force I imagine, and I didn't read in my above link how the dog was a threat other than growling at passerby's.

With my limited knowledge of policing and law I come to the conclusion that animal control should be called if there was a an uncontrollable animal/threatening to the community and I don't see any justification under any circumstances this video or any previous event would show that this animal needed to be shot while being restrained on a pole and while it was posing no immediate threat.

I had a different title when I first posted this video and it seemed to me more biased so i changed it, but if you conclude that that is still the case feel free to tell me to change it. I actually ended up just copy/pasting the title from reddit as mine seemed too emotional at first so I ended up changing it.

You're not thinking hard enough then. Going straight into knee-jerk reactionary mode, especially without having any modicum of background information on this incident makes this post seem like a rather opaque, overeager attempt to demonize the police based on some preexisting desire to support a conclusion you've already arrived at (in this case); your history on this matter doesn't help though either.
Trust me, I'm no fan of crooked cops (or anyone who abuses power or oppresses the powerless). What they did could be actually wrong, but you've provided no support for it. The video description is factual at best and disingenuous at worst. The rational, responsible thing to do would be to not make any judgment calls at all in situations where it's not particularly evident until more information surfaces. At least that's how I go about these things.
I hope this doesn't come off as overly nitpickish.
