Don't get me wrong. I'm a huge fan of the first movie, but there's something about the tone of this trailer that looks off. Yes, the puppet analogy is cool and James Spader's voice is pretty good as well. But I don't know...

Anyway, I hope the movie itself is good! I still want to see it.

He looked sorta like James Spader.

I was a huge fan of the Hellblazer comics, had like eighty issues in a run. I didn't think this was a very good Hellblazer movie, but I did think it was a decent movie in and of itself. It gets a bad rap. Wish they had just called it something else and not wasted the John Constantine character this way.

The design concept for hell in this movie is awesome. It's a mirror universe undergoing a perpetual nuclear blast.

The ideal John Constantine would have been 38 year-old James Spader doing a cockney accent. John's magic should be subtle and quiet, more like trickery, and he should never wield anything as a conventional weapon, especially not anything resembling a gun.

An interesting comment was made by the last episode of Boston Legal in which James Spader and William Shatner got married.

William's Character (Denny Crane) is rich and joins into marriage with his best friend. He has Alzheimer's Disease and wants to transfer his wealth over to Alan Shore (James Spader's Character) and doesn't want the government taking their share in the way of taxes.

Now I couldn't care less what two other people do with their personal lives, and I hate giving money to the government too, in fact I though it was a great idea, but, This could be a HUGE deterrent for the government to allow same sex marriages.

James Spader...such a pompous tool on this show....every time they give him lines it's some ideological clusterfuck flavor-of-the-week claptrap horseshit....never have been able to make through an episode-him and clabbered-milk fleshed Kirk...does anyone else hate this show???

Wish James Spader would keep swelling up, and making fewer appearances on film. Jacob's Ladder was his last good film, in Stargate he was tolerable, Crash is a film watchable one time, by folks who aren't attracted to twisted kitsch, and now......He has a job onna dull, hack-writer's pulpit for political editorial, as Shatner's BITCH!
