C'mon jump up

StukaFox says...

Good dog, Cujo! Also, you know that mutt drops a log the size of a baguette at least twice a day and it practically takes a snow shovel to fling it into the neighbor's yard.

I use to have a tragically retarded Cocker Spaniel (and, to note, there is no other variety of that breed) and it was like the Goose that Laid the Golden Egg, only with dogshit. At least three times a day, this golden-furred, floppy ear'd mongrel would scarf down a can of Alpo, a cup of kibble and whatever food was left lying on the table -- the same table the cat always got smacked for climbing on, but the dog ... ohhh, no! It's CUTE when the dog does it! -- then make a beeline to the back lawn where it'd crap Mt. Everest. I'd have to trudge out the the back yard, shovel in hand, while the guy next door shot me the stink-eye because he was tired of fishing dog turds out of his swimming pool every day during the summer. This task is odious enough, but it's a thousand times worse when you're stoned and it's a million degrees out and you'd much rather be floating on your waterbed listening to Dark Side of the Moon in headphones while blissful AC-cooled air wafts over your twice-weekly washed body and not fighting your way through a black fog of Horseflies to reach a 1:1 scale model of Mt. Doom made entirely of a too-quickly digested overpriced slurry of meat scraps and offal that the canners couldn't fob off on Mexico.

It might not have been as bad as all that, but in my hazy recollection, it was pretty darned close.

I'm not sure why I told you all this, to be perfectly honest, but I did. So there.

Really?
He caught up some folks for past deeds, being meetings, debts, massive payments, communications, and partnerships with Russia that they all hid and lied about to the feds under oath when they were interviewed and when they filled out the required legal forms as part of the election team and later as part of the administration, caught and convicted. Also some for witness tampering, threatening others to tell their version of the story and not the truth to investigators about their meetings and dealings with Russians.
These are his team leaders, the clean, upright, best people he has draining the swamp, which leaves a rotting, stinking cess pool full of rotting fish and snakes (which is a good description of the Republican party today).

You cannot be that ignorant of what they're even being investigated for and have already been convicted of yet continue to shout "no collusion, no crime" from your soap box in your tin foil hat like you know something....at least not without being called out on it.

So what is the connection with Trump?

Mueller has caught up some folks for past deeds, which is good. What connections are there with the election?

fox news slam President Obama an praise trump over the thing

Phooz says...

What in the actual fucking fuck?! I love how people can be so ignorant! This needs to get shared the fuck out of so that they can see their own hypocrisy!

I was talking the other day with some friends and said "What if Obama had said even slightly some of the shit Trump has said... he would have been crucified!" I just don't see how people can think their shit don't stink but other's does.

Millennials in the Workforce, A Generation of Weakness

bcglorf says...

Your absolutely right that characterising an entire generation as the 'same' is flawed.

However, I also believe there is more to the whole 'entitled millenials' view than just the bias of 'those darned kids again'.

I think the lumping of generational groups is just a miswording and but reading of the problems facing society at different times. Baby-Boomers as a generation were just people, same as millenials, same as anyone else. The thing is, kids born between 1910 and 1930 grew up in a world at war. Baby boomers grew up in a post world war/cold war era. The societal problems that shaped those times and people still existed, so dismissing the problems as just perception or bias isn't necessarily a good idea.

I've been out of high school 20+ years, and the notion of participation ribbons for everyone was already starting then. The notion that losing or winning isn't important, even if you lost because you were lazy, or won because of years of hard work was already starting. The problem of basically denying hard parts of the real world has been building for 20 years, and the current generation has been buried even deeper in it.

For anyone born in Canada or the USA to cry that no amount of hard work, talent or anything else can help them get ahead and that the system must be changed to help them is insidious. When 80-90% of everyone born in Canada or the USA will never know real hunger, never face homelessness, never have a warlord burn and destroy everything they own, complaining about the inherent injustice of being born where you were as a Canadian or American is just wrong.

The ideology that has grown up in the western world over the last 20+ years has the stink of the rich, entitled world we've enjoyed here. We have a society so removed from hardship, that hardship is working 10 hours a day, 5 days a week to lead a life more comfortable than 90% of the world.

It's not millenials, it is however the society that millenials are growing up in(so all of us).

Fair points, but I think there’s a big difference between understanding the circumstances of a particular demographic and then assigning characteristics to the members of said demographic.

“Black people are more likely to be pulled over by the police” is a verifiable fact.
“Black people are more likely to commit crime” is a different kettle of fish.

I know that’s not what you’re saying though.

If it looks like a murder, if its sentenced like a murder...why isn't it murder?

Gotta agree that this stinks of "separate but equal".

Good that the outcome was better than expected, bad that the expectation is so low.

Senator Jeff Flake's Retirement Speech-Short Version

newtboy says...

Yes...but what that means to Trump and you is the last bit of clean water is being removed leaving a stinking, feculent basin of ooze and rot inhabited by gators, snakes, and bugs.

This guy is just a cool drink of water, one of the last.

Hilarious that you could possibly disagree with him, that's proof you are anti American and likely Russian, and that's exactly how I'll treat you Dimitri, like just another dumb Putin stooge. Sad. Go eat some borscht you pinko.

Old Spice Rick and Morty Commercial

newtboy jokingly says...

The one true Rick wouldn't debase himself by intentionally communicating with those lesser Ricks or poison himself with spray on anti sweat stink by actually using it himself.....even for around $8000.

But I suppose you aren't a "true" fan, so you wouldn't get that.

TheFreak said:

Or if you're a true "Rick", who despises this world full of Morties and Jerries, you would use the product ironically as a dog whistle to all the other Ricks.

But I suppose you're not a "true" fan so you wouldn't get it.

Nerdwriter - How Not To Adapt A Movie

Drachen_Jager says...

Hollywood big-budget productions have lost all sense of artistry (with few exceptions). The directors all seem to think that audiences are inherently impatient twitch machines and if they hold on a shot for more than two seconds or give us a chance to breathe we'll get up and walk out.

Maybe that's true for some audience members, but you can't create art for the lowest common denominator and expect to produce anything great, or even good.

They wonder why Rotten Tomatoes and audiences are forsaking them? They need to break out of the corporate group-think and embrace artistry again. Yes it means you stink sometimes, but they produce big-budget stinkers anyhow (emoji movie anyone?). At least it would give filmmakers a chance to be great.

CNN begs for forgiveness, Project Veritas plays its Zapruder

enoch says...

@kir_mokum

what makes the irony even more grotesque is that:

1.look at who projectveritas actually IS.it was founded by that slug james o'keefe..yes..THAT james o'keefe, and due to CNN being such an absolute failure of journalistic integrity, they just made that repulsive man actually credible again.

2.CNN had to post a massive retraction,a formal editors note and a at least three correspondents had to fall on the sword.

3.the projectveritas video has a CNN producer openly admitting that it is about the ratings, and nothing more.the russia story makes CNN money....period.

4.there is STILL no evidence of the trump administration "colluding" with russian intelligence, but there IS evidence that the russia story is being pushed by the american "deep state" to discredit,and/or control trump.

*of course this is from independent media who are not part of the corporate media tentacled network of obfuscation, propaganda and gaslighting.

5.the only media still giving the russia story any credence is american media.the rest of the world has moved on.why? no evidence.

this whole situation stinks to high fucking heaven.
