Justice Has Been Served -This Bad Driver Got Busted

I think the point that you are missing (for the ones saying that you shouldn't need to stop, or that the stop signs should be replaced with slow signs) is that this kind of law has been this way for about 35+ years. This is NOT a new law, at least in my area.
I'm not sure where you are from but I live in Jersey. This law, or at least the stop signs on buses, were enacted within the past decade at most.
I didn't say kids are dumber these days. I said things like this are making our kids dumber because we're making everything so safe for them nobody learns any life lessons.
Maybe things are different in yoru Area but in my Area there are no Elementary School Buses. The younget you get on a bus is when you're headed into middle school so you are 12 years old. Someone who is 12 years old should know to look both ways before crossing and not cross in front of the bus etc etc etc.

I think the point that you are missing (for the ones saying that you shouldn't need to stop, or that the stop signs should be replaced with slow signs) is that this kind of law has been this way for about 35+ years. This is NOT a new law, at least in my area. This was the law when my father was driving. I have no memory of there NOT being a requirement to stop. I even remember TV ads as a child pointing this out to people. Maybe it became a Stop law when I was a little kid.
The law here is that on an undivided road, if a school bus stops and turns on its lights, all traffic in all directions must stop. If the road is divided (highway or other barrier) then the traffic on the same side as the bus must stop and the traffic on the other side must slow down. It has always been this way in my memory in the province of Alberta.
Kids are dumber these days? That statement is irrelevant because this law has always been this way and was part of driver training and was part of the driving test here. People that are violating it are in no way unaware of this law. This driver is being a selfish ass. Passing the bus AND driving on the sidewalk is just two indicators that they really shouldn't be driving at all.
Women for P-P-P-Paul Ryan
They chose the 50's privileged class theme perfectly.
Rich, but dumber than a doornail.

What court would this be being tried at? Kids today are growing up dumber and dumber and it's not because of the lack of education it's the lack of common sense. There are less and less ways to hurt and maim yourself as a child so kids aren't learning any practical lessons.
I grew up with Metal Toys! GASP Metal Toys?! How did I not spear myself or get some sort of horrible wound or injury. Because I wasn't a fucking moron? As a child I _NEVER_ had the sudden urge to run screaming into the road for no apparent reason.
Two Main Points
#1. there's no reason you can't slow down and pass the bus. The stop sign should be replaced with a slow sign and it would accomplish the same thing.
#2. I've been behind a lot of these bus drivers before and when they pull over for these special needs kids they flip that stop sign out and I've been sitting there stopped for 5 minutes when the kid isn't even outside yet. There are some bus drivers the respect the people on the road and let them pass and then once the kid is actually outside and coming to the bus they flip the stop sign on. But there are other drivers that as soon as they pull over it's just "STOP".
In my town they have DOUBLED the amount of no turn on red signs. Why? because of other peoples mistakes! All we are doing is balancing our society to help the lowest common denominator and it grinds my gears.

Uh, it's called "children are erratic dumbasses"... just because they don't live on that side of the street doesn't mean they won't run out into the street. Also, just because their house is on one side, it doesn't mean they're going home immediately after getting off the bus. They could run to the local kwik-e-mart on the other side of the street. Kids are in a world of their own and aren't necessarily always paying attention to what's going on around them. Good luck using that "there are no houses on that side of the street" defense in court.
>> ^Darkhand:
I'm not saying lets make rules street by street. But a simple common sense rule of "If there is no housing or children standing on one side of the road you can pass on that side."
People forget there was an era of time when you didn't HAVE to yield to the school bus if it was on the opposite side of the road. Our super protective society is really just annoying more than anything.
Richard Dawkins on Creationists
I disagree
Religion has plenty to teach us. It appropriately mirrors the evolution of the consciousness...the development of species-wide psychological tendencies throughout the history of humanity.
In order to understand where we are now, we need to understand where we've been, and why.
What religion teaches us is exactly where we are in the development of the consciousness -- and in short, we're idiots, a mere 10,000 years into cognition. We're evolutionary infants. Much, much dumber than we like to think we are.
Dawkin's would probably agree that he's dickish when it comes to religion. No qualms with that: religion is quite deserving of reactionary spite.
However where Dawkin's plays the fool is in being just as arrogant in his steadfastness that there is no "God". Just as arrogant as any relig-idiot with his iron belief system.
Where he could remedy the situation is to allow for a different concept of "God" - one not based on the idea that God is a being, like you and I. This primitive conceptualization is retarded on the surface, and self-serving at best.
To many, "evolution" is GOD - a beautiful process of life and continuing intellectual complexity that is potentially infinite.
This concept of God is inclusive, not exclusive and divisive.
WTF does the "L" stand for in TLC? The Laughable Channel?
I caught my daughter watching this the other day - I told her that just by watching the show, she was part of the problem. I warned her she was getting dumber by the second just for watching it.
Absolute trash - the lowest Television has been since.... well, never has it been this low.

And that's stupid.
We're getting dumber, which is only going to make us dumber still. We now have lots of very passionate people living in propaganda bubbles. They're indoctrinating their children. I want to call it child abuse, but it's more like taking a steaming dump on America in 2050.
The only thing that educated people can do is try to limit our power outside of our borders. The moral thing to do if we're going to collapse, is to collapse back into ourselves and not take a lot of innocent countries with us.
This is why I wanted to vote in Trump! It would at least speed up the process and possibly mean we can start rebuilding much faster.

Dirty Laundry - Thomas Jane returns as "The Punisher"
The larger problem, story-wise, is why Big Pun ignores the beating/implied rape of the unusually attractive prostie. She could have been killed while he sat on his ass.

ehh, I'm gonna nit pick.
#1 I HATE the fake camera shake. We all know this shit is done on dollys and steady cam out the ass, then to make it look like..frankly I have no idea why they inject camera shake, I don't want to see how Michael j. Fox see's the movie. .
#2 this bad guy seems to make everyone his target.. even little kids.. so why is he still alive? He is CLEARLY dumber then a stump and is lowest on the totem pole, some other punk would have put a bullet in him long ago.
#3 Our hero guy strolls in and really does not care...yet has the means to kill every single one of them in less then 10 seconds and some how eventually finds the will too. God damn this is 5th grade writing.
#4 oh my god.. the special effects... is this supposed to be gritty real life.. or mortal freaking kombat? It looks like that 5th grader also had a say in where blood was placed... cause he said EVERYWHERE!

Well first of all this is an amateur fan film with no budget. Second of all, can't you just enjoy a good, over-the-top short film without dissecting it like a art-house film critic with a shitty blog?

Medical Professionals Shut Down Minister's Announcement
Your using Paul Krugman. Really you might as well a tee shirt saying
" I'm dumber that a bag of hammers."
2% administration cost? How is that calculated? Does that include the lovable 16 thousand IRS agents, Like we need more IRS thugs. And if you need 16,000 IRS police to make sure that you pay how many other administration jobs are needed for all the other parts of OBAMA CARE? It just doesn't add up.
Dude take off the rose colored glasses.

"However, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has found that administrative costs under the public Medicare plan are less than 2 percent of expenditures, compared with approximately 11 percent of spending by private plans under Medicare Advantage."
This shows you don't know or care what the fuck you're talking about.
I've seen you be reasonable about stuff. This one of things you should be reasonable about.
