Aside from a sentient time-dimensional traveler demigod that interferes -- it happens because there's some interconnectivity between all dimensions, time included.

That's a valid explanation for how your changing the past can skew the future timeline after the manipulation took place.
There's no such valid excuse for the simple act of going backwards in time landing you in a different parallel universe that is totally unrelated to the universe from which the time traveler left.

RFlaggMjolnir isn't overly heavy as I understand it. Notice it's put down on a table without crushing the table or the books that it's resting against. It's a question of worth. Captain America came close, it budged a bit with him, and I loved Thor's reaction when it does.
I'm guessing Ultron's origin was shifted from Antman to Tony Stark because it makes more sense within the established films. Of course they could have simply released Antman in May then Avengers in July and have Antman established ahead of Avengers. Guess we'll see once those two come out.

Had to agree with you. Just way too scattered around and with too many terse unrelated hero-takes-dramatic pose shots.
Even a trailer should have some sense of flow. They got some of it right by building around the central musical theme, but didn't fill in the rest.

mentalityMaybe the trailer is designed to attract the kind of audience who likes Transformers movies? They do make a lot of money, despite how shitty they are.
Anyways, Avengers 2 should be much better with Whedon at the helm.
Don't get me wrong. I'm a huge fan of the first movie, but there's something about the tone of this trailer that looks off. Yes, the puppet analogy is cool and James Spader's voice is pretty good as well. But I don't know...
Anyway, I hope the movie itself is good! I still want to see it.
