Killing 22 final bosses in 5 minutes

Defrost_My_Head says...

Wow so I'm not the only person that played Wheel of Time! Balefire em into oblivion!
Perhaps more types of games would be better as FPS bosses can't be made that difficult. But even the most complicated game boss there is always going to be a vid on youtube showing how to glitch kill it in 10 seconds. Spoils the fun I reckon.

The games shown and bosses killed are:

Quake II - Makron
Red Faction - Colonel Masako
Jedi Outcast - Desann
Jedi Academy - Marka Ragnos
Deus Ex - Walton Simons
Deus Ex: Invisible War - J.C. Denton
Blood 2: The Chosen - The Ancient One
No One Lives Forever - Tom Goodman
No One Lives Forever 2 - Super Soldier Lieutenant
Aliens vs Predator 2 - General Rykov
F.E.A.R. - Alma
Hitman 2 - Sergei Zavrotko
Command & Conquer: Renegade - Dr. Petrova
Far Cry - Dr. Krieger
Wheel of Time - Ishamael
Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi - Malachi
Iron Storm - Consortium Officer
Bet on Soldier - Max Balding
Jurassic Park: Trespasser - Alpha Raptor
Kill.Switch - Archer
Klingon Honor Guard - Korek
Thief: Deadly Shadows - Gamall

WHAT'S IN FUCKING SIDE ME???????

I actually liked this film...

This movie was a lousy piece of shit that, ironically, parasitically leeched on the reputation of the earlier Alien films. I hated it. It was an all too simple ploy to get a few more bangs for the buck, by huffing out a crappy sequel that had nothing to do with the rest of the mythos. I love the Alien franchise, but what they did in this one was just an atrocity. What the fuck was that last monster thing? Pfft, I could write a better alien film with my cock.

And don't get me started on Alien vs. Predator...

Banned in 43 Countries - Freakshow movie trailer

spoco2 says...

Well I found that trailer revolting, and on reading many reviews of the film, it would seem it's an absolute snorefest up until that end bit where the woman is disfigured in ridiculously graphic detail.

I love a good horror film, but showing horrendous disfigurement like this does absolutely nothing at all for me, and I wonder about the people who enjoy such extreme and prolonged graphic violence towards another.

I just went to the website of the production company and they seem to make cheap, terribly made ripoff film after ripoff film:
SUNDAY SCHOOL MUSICAL - High School Musical
18 YEAR OLD VIRGIN - American Pie et al
AVH: ALIEN VS HUNTER - Alien vs Predator
UNIVERSAL SOLDIERS - Universal Soldier (My GOD, how close can you get?)
ALLAN QUATERMAIN AND THE TEMPLE OF SKULLS - Do I even need to say?
THE DAY THE EARTH STOPPED - The day the earth stood still
DA VINCI TREASURE - The Da Vinci Code
100 MILLION BC - Godzilla
PIRATES OF TREASURE ISLAND - Oh come on!
SNAKES ON A TRAIN - Puuuhlease!
TRANSMORPHERS - MAKE IT STOP NOW!!!!!

Their covers are usually a direct ripoff, they get B/C grade actors (Lorenzo Lamas anyone?)

Truly a studio to avoid. Who the hell actually hires/buys this dross?

Aliens Movie - Combat Drop Scene

>> ^gwiz665:
Great movie.
I like how the series shifted genres through the different editions and with the different directors.
Alien = horror
Aliens = Action
Alien3 = horror/slasher/splatter
Alien 4 = pure fecal matter.
The first two were great in their genres, and the third wasn't that bad. The latest was just poor, poor.

Alien vs. Predator = why would they make this anything short of 18a

GameTrailers Top 10 Years of Gaming

budzos says...

I can wax nostalgic about video games for hours every day. My personal best years in gaming:

1983 - We got Intellivion for Xmas 82.. Played a lot of Lock & Chase, Astrosmash, Night Stalker, Sea Battle, etc.
1989 - The year I bought myself a NES.. Played Bionic Commando, Contra, Castlevania.. First job mowing lawns gave me income in addition to my allowance which went up to $10/wk. to blow on gaming magazines and the occasional game, as well as a decent budget for arcade games which were in their heyday... Golden Axe, Robocop, Narc, Hard Drivin, Stider, that was 1989 for me. Probably the single best year.
1992 - Now working one full-time and one part-time job for the summer, as soon as I wrote my final exams I I bought myself Genesis, then SNES the next day. Played a lot of Super Contra, Street Fighter 2, Castlevania 4, Super Battletank (first game with photo-real graphics on home systems imho), Populous, Strider, etc.
1994 - The year I bought my first PC.. played a lot of Doom 2, Alone in the Dark 2, Ecstatica, Tie Fighter, and countless demos from PC Gamer and other magazine pack-in discs
1998 - The year I got into multiplayer... played insane amounts of Quake 2
2000 - The year I bought my first true custom-built gaming PC.. played Quake 3, Deus Ex, Aliens Vs Predator, and in 2001 played tons of Tribes 2
2002 - At end of 2001 I bought another even better gaming box... played tons of RTCW, Medal of Honor, and ended the year playing BF1942 about four hours per day
2006 - The year I bought my first bleeding-edge custom-built gaming PC (dual GPUs, 30 inch 4 megapixel monitor, $150 mouse, etc.)... played BF2, Quake 4, Call of Duty 2, Prey, HL2: Ep1

2007 was a decent year, might look like a stand-out once I get some distance and perspective.

IGN's Zelda Movie Trailer

Yeah but thats a fan movie, thats like saying http://www.videosift.com/video/Batman-dead-end-Batman-vs-Alien-vs-Predator is the follow up to the others. Though it was pretty badass i mean come on how could you go wrong. And WTF Spoco2 you have never played one of the 102,284.2 Zelda games out there? Please tell me that in itself is as April Fools joke, that I have fallen into some strange Bizzaro Twilight Zone where the diabolic plots of Ganon and the adventures of Link are not known.

Video game addiction - Fact or Fiction?

budzos says...

Right now I almost feel addicted to Team Fortress 2. I just can't stop playing.

In the past I was addicted to Quake 2 for a time. In my 2nd year of university I got Quake 2 for Xmas. After a month playing the solo game I went online and spent most of February 1998 drinking coffee and soda, eating fast food and donuts, and becoming an expert Quake 2 player. I don't think I went to more than a couple classes, and I'd be sketching Quake 2 drawings instead of taking notes, and I'd always get the urge to flee whenever I saw green in the corner of my vision -- look out, BFG! Then I got into working out and remembered I was at university surrounded by girls, and that lessened the addiction a bit, althought it basically split my focus between working out, girls, and video games. Then when I left town to go home for the summer I had to return my roommate's extra 3D card, and I wasn't about to play it in software mode. At the end of summer I bought myself a 3D accelerator and got back into the game with moderation.

I got addicted to Quake 3 in winter 2000/2001. For around two months it was all I wanted to think about. I got into a hardcore routine of buying 2 or 3 large coffees and sitting down for 6-hour ass-kicking sessions on CTF4 (space capture the flag).

Then in summer of 2001 I got pretty addicted to Tribes 2, and by then I had invested in real gaming hardware like a $500 video card, surround speakers, 19 inch monitor (pretty big back then). I'd stay up all night, enjoying myself immensely, playing for up to 10 hours at a time once or twice. I think Tribes 2 is probably still the most fun I've ever had playing video games.

Other multiplayer games I've been near-addicted to include Rainbow Six, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2, and Aliens Vs Predator 2 (highly underrated!).

These days I lay out a lot of $ for gaming hardware (4GB RAM, X1950XTX CF Master with X1900XTX in crossfire, X-Fi Platinum, Dell 3007 WFP, Logitech Z5000, etc.. okay CPU is a generation behind.. X2 4400+), which can mostly be expensed to business, but which I would probably have anyways for hardcore gaming. Sorry for the e-peen but I love to talk gaming hardware and share gaming nostalgia.

I expect I will soon be addicted to Crysis.

GT Countdown - Top Ten Scariest Video Games

BrknPhoenix says...

Well, I think F.E.A.R. certainly wouldn't beat most of these but I do have to question F.E.A.R. not being on it when something like "Alien Vs. Predator" is. Honestly, it's almost comical that they say not being able to hear things due to console limitation, and enemies behind you not making sounds is scary. It sounds more annoying than anything.

Alien: Ripley, survivor of the Nostromo

budzos says...

As a hardcore fan of this franchise, Alien Ressurection is acceptable to me right up to the point where the Ripley clone fucks an alien and produces a really lame looking new super-alien. If you stop the movie when Ripley gets sucked into the floor and assume everyone dies, it's a respectable attempt at an Alien movie in the vein of Dark Horse's comic books.

I rewatched Alien Vs Predator last night, and it was half completely retarded, and half not that bad. Basically any scenes involving aliens and predators are really cool. The movie's problem is the bullshit with the pyramid and the fact that most of the characters are retarded.

I also think it's okay if the movies are not completely consistent. Alien was scary and slow-paced. Aliens was scary with balls to the wall action (best movie ever made if you ask me). Alien 3 was scary and slow-paced. Alien Resurrection was not scary but had quite a bit of action. So maybe if they ever make an Alien 5 it will be really scary. I actually just typed in "I'd like to see David Fincher do an Alien film" only to remember he did Alien 3. So how about Alex Proyas for the next scary one and then Zack Snyder for the next action-oriented sequel? I'd love a new alien movie every two or three years.
