I don't think that's true. You can promote all you want with a power point on other people with a silver star.

I used to feel that same guilt... Until I found out that i CANT promote others until gold The reason I originally registered (almost 3 years ago) was to downvote a video that was an awful musical performance. I do not believe I am even being that subjective, it was a cover, and it was terribad. Then I thought I only needed to get rid of my P to downvote, then I thought it was 10 sifts, FINALLY I get to 25... Now I care more about snipping dupes in the butt than anything else, and I am only half way there (abouts)

Okay, I gotcha. I always feel a little bit of guilt when I promote my own stuff. I don't know why. I"m indifferent to others doing it. And I've done it a multitude of times myself. But I'm not sure if I like self promotion being ingrained into submitting a video.
