I posted a video about it produced by the manufacturer a while ago.
I think we all know that anytime a government dvelops a non-lethal weapon, it will more than likely be used exclusively on its own population. So when the big revolt comes, we'll all get a million volts.
Thanks MG, that was a very informative video. While there is definitely a need for law enforcement to have such devices, I as well as many others in this country are concerned about the potential for it's abuse, especially with the possible declaration of martial law given the self-appointed powers of the Executive branch and the buildup of mercenary paramilitary organizations in anticipation of "domestic terrorism" as the Executive branch puts it.
Don't despair, CP. With next year's election comes the outing of Bush, and the chances of the next president being anything like Bush are slim to nil.
Also, about the shotgun round: I think that device has a very low chance of being misused, mainly because officers don't normally walk around with shotguns. It's not like it's strapped to your waist just waiting for you to get pissed enough to use it.
In Fear Effect 2 there was a wireless taser, that hit an area around you. It was called EMP, IIRC. Didn't click here, too lazy.
